The site listing numbers you see on this map are simply placed as general reference, but you can camp anywhere you please. Also, the only vehicle access is the large open field you see on the map here. Folks with roof top tents can set up camp anywhere in this field, along the edge of the woods. The remaining acreage is heavily wooded and hilly with creeks running through. Vehicles cannot penetrate the woods until we begin to clear roads. The Pinnacle Park is a simple walk down the road/hill from our land. You can have fun hiking, splashing in the creek, playing in the sand and rock climbing at the Pinnacle's. Pinnacle Park also has nice shelters for picnics with fireplaces and restrooms.

Natural features you'll find at Wooded Escape in Missouri.
There are multiple sink holes on our land, and a large cave at the Pinnacles.
We have nearly 50 acres of forest to hike through.
Some small waterfalls are located in Silver Fork Creek and other creeks on the land, but mostly after a good rain.
There is a driveway as well as a grassy area for parking, or camping.

Wooded Escape is a nice, private and secluded campsite. It is primitive camping, so prepare for lots of ticks and spiders during the summer. There are so many spots to pitch a tent or hammock, and luckily Kim recommended her favorite spot on the bluff to camp and catch a beautiful sunset! The campsite is also a short walk or drive away to the Pinnacles and the trails around the park.
We loved our visit at the Wooded Escape! Our host, Kim, was so friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and even giving us a tour of the Pinnacles nearby. Definitely make time to drive right down the road to Pinnacle Park because the rock formations are absolutely amazing to see! You can also hike and explore around the rocks, which was a fun experience so we definitely recommend that. There is a fire pit at Pinnacle Park that you are welcome to use as well. We loved the campsite itself, it was definitely very secluded and private so if you are wanting to get away from the city and spend time in nature while being off the beaten path, this is a great option! We loved that we were back in the woods and could only hear the sounds of nature and look right out our tent into the woods. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it! :)
