Easy off the interstate camp spot, decently crowded but easy to find a spot not super close to other people. Lots of cats and off leash dogs wandering. One of the dogs jumped on our truck and scratched it on our way out so be careful of that. Dogs barking nearby throughout the night and loud construction starting at around 6:30/7 am. If you’re looking for a calm off grid camping trip experience, this is not it. But you can’t beat the convenience if you’re just passing through.

We saw that this campsite only had 10 spots and was right beside a creek and were excited to canoe and have a relaxing weekend. We didn’t realize this creek was such a huge party spot in Joplin and that non-campers were allowed in to party in the creek and in the parking lot between the campsite and the creek. On Saturday we ended up with window-rattling music from the parking lot and competing music from another campsite on the other side of the creek. It wasn’t for us. We ended up leaving a night early. The hosts were friendly and responsive, but we wouldn’t have stayed had we known how busy and loud it would be.
