We loved camping at Danielle and Dan’s place. Other camp sites on the property but they are all wooded and far apart so we never heard anyone else, just nature :) wheelbarrow provided which made bringing out stuff back to our camp site very easy. We plan on coming back!
This place was perfect. Secluded, quiet, beautiful land. Dan was an awesome host. You are also only 3 minutes from Taylor’s Falls which is awesome. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone!
Peaceful seclusion, close to town
Dan was such a great host! He directed us to different points of interest around the area and local events going on. The kayaking, canoeing, SUP and hiking of the State park is really close. Dan and Danielle's campsites are very spread out for a lot of privacy. We stayed in the "Secluded Yurt Tent", which is the farthest back on the property. Nestled back in the trees, we felt alone in our own little woods, while still being less than an hour to Minneapolis. There are carts to haul gear, but it is kind of a trek from parking. Pack light or at least avoid the hottest part of the day, for moving in. Watching the fireflies blinking over the prairie grasses on the trail at dusk was a definite bonus, as were the fruit trees and raspberry bushes sprinkled around the property.
Beautiful secluded site
Beautiful campsite in a grove of trees. Perfect for a family trip. Well maintained. About a 8-10 minute walk in. It is very mosquito-y right now this area now, do plan accordingly! Dan is a wonderful host, very informative of things to do in the area. We had fun swimming at interstate park and visiting Fawn Doe Rosa.
These folks were super chill and helpful, the farm is absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely go back to this site again and very likely will! I went with my Puppy and was in and out of camp but enjoyed almost every minute! To be very fair about the brief moments of less than joy Dan totally tried to prevent it i just didn't realize mosquoitos swarm after dark and passed on his offer of netting! Lesson: Never pass up netting and always camp in beautiful places with cool farmers! This was a truly lovely place to get some peace and enjoy nature. Thank you!!!!!
