Description

Just outside Duluth in northern Minnesota, near Lake Superior, Savanna State Forest’s best campgrounds can be found at Hay Lake. The sites are spacious and well-dispersed, so you can feel like you and your best friends have settled this land yourselves! Spend your days swimming or sunbathing on the beach, fish for primo Minnesota walleye, or hike the trails leading into several other lakes and state parks in the area. Just make sure you arrive early if you want a spot right on the water—sites are first-come, first-served and only a handful of those available are on the waterfront.
