I booked this reservation last minute on a road-trip and couldn’t have been happier w my decision. It’s a beautiful little spot and waking up to the sun coming up over the fields and the birds chirping was magical. I highly recommend Michael’s campground. Very well cared for sites and an attentive host!
Perfect for our dogs. lots of room.
We hate crowded campgrounds because we travel with two dogs……and people. We love Hipcamp. This location worked great because we were here to fish Lake Carlos with our fishing league. It was close to Alexandria and the boat ramps. It’s close to the interstate on a rural gravel road. When it’s windy you can’t hear the interstate traffic at all. I slept great without earplugs. The location was very clean and mowed. The porta potties were immaculate and nice to have around. Fire pits established with tons of firewood. Picnic tables at each of the campsites. It was great for our dogs too. We picked up our dog poops and just threw them away when we hit town. Close to town to shop if that’s your thing or breweries and distilleries. It was our first time to the area and we really enjoyed it.
Backyard camping at its best!
Camping at Michael's was peaceful. This is your on the edge of the city spot. Perfectly nestled on a quiet cou try road. Within minutes to the city of Alexandria, which has all amenities. Michael's space is big and spacious. Plenty of stars to see at night. Birds chirping to wake to in the morning. A huge campfire ring, solid picnic table and plenty of shade trees.
