This property is on a small private lake surrounded by trees and grasslands. It was an old farm site until the 1970's. The old farm buildings are currently being restored into usable structures. The lake is very clean and is great for fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoe or a small boat. It is stocked with walleye by the D.N.R. The camp sites are close to the water and are on firm mowed grassland. You can camp close to the lake in designated areas or tent camp off in more private settings. There are places to safely launch a small boat or your kayaks. Fun hiking within a mile at wildlife preserves. This is a very beautiful setting with a lot of wildlife activity. Bird watching is awesome. Also there numerous lakes and rivers to adventure to within 20 miles. Nearest food and gas is 7 miles. Bathroom and outdoor shower provided. I can provide power to a 5 or 6 campers and I have a quiet generator to rent. Also there is limited WiFi on site. I have firewood for $5 a day and a paddle boat to rent for $10 a day.

Great base camp for hunting.
We camped here in our truck camper for 5 days to pheasant hunt in the area. Great spots on the lake with fire rings and hammock straps ready for a hammock at our site. Tons of firewood available. Peaceful place and Jim was great. We also had an outlet to plug into.
Picturesque, quiet, friendly
Jim was very friendly and helpful. He hooked us up with power and even had an adapter we didn't have. Flush toilet is nice when camping. We had the run of the place with a picturesque small lake looking at a very pretty farm and a soybean field behind us. If you are there this time of the year that field might be being harvested, but even that lent to the atmosphere. Lovely little place for a quick weekend getaway.
Thank you Jim
For your smiling and warm welcoming Just an amazing place you have
Was very hard to leave..
Birds and ducks in the morning

I will certainly come back when I’ll cross again USA
Thank you again for sharing your little paradise:)
A gem of a campsite
What a beautiful site. Jim met me when I first arrived and said that I had the whole place to myself and I could pick any campsite. I chose the site closest to the beach. Jim was very welcoming and brought over some fire wood and made sure the facilities were all good to go. I can highly recommend to anyone to stay at Jim’s “Camping on Private Lake.” The sunset was gorgeous over the lake, the night skies dark with a clear view. The solitude was just what I wanted. Thanks Jim.
Went up there not knowing what to expect, and loved it. Loved the fact that there was a FLUSHING toilet, and lake. The sky was so clear at night you could see the stars. Jim was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Nice place.
