Description

The Burned Damn Campground is rustic camping heaven! Smell the fresh air, hike into the backcountry or canoe the Ontonagone River knowing you have a quiet campsite to go home too. There are some amenities for your stay (no need to dig a hole if you know what we mean), but this is definitely a place to kick back in the heart of the wilderness. A short walk to stunning Mex-i-Mine falls will make you pleased you chose this quiet spot.

The campground is small but the sites are all pretty secluded and quite. Gorgeous river is a drop-in point so you are able to see many adventures come and go if it's that time of year. We were able to sit back and weren't bothered by anyone. We would definitely stay here again. Bring bug spray!
