Tiny home living in completely renovated school bus!  In a beautiful redpine and sand dune topography, the land runs along the Sand River and is just across the street from a public sand beach of Lake Superior. It comfortably sleeps two adults and a child, and is perfect for anyone, from the mellow to the adventurous, all four seasons. Come for all that Marquette and Munising have to offer:  Pictured Rocks, waterfalls, hiking, kayaking, skiing, mountain/snow biking, fall colors, & Northern Lights.

The bus is equipped with air-conditioning as well as two heaters, for year-round enjoyment.  There is a pull-out queen-sized bed and a single (only suitable for a child). While there is no running water, we provide you with 15 gallons of fresh, artesian spring water in easy to use containers, and you can always bring you more water, if you think you'll need it.   There is a full kitchen (small fridge/cooktop, griddle & coffee maker) with a sink to a simple grey-water plumbing system.

The bus has a bathroom with a simple camp toilet (similar to a Loveable Loo) and a small tub with an on-demand water heater with a shower adapter and drain, but there is a bathhouse with flush toilet and shower in the works, to be completed spring, 2023!

I will send a document of full directions about all the School Bus Living tips and tricks once you've booked, so that you can have all the details ahead of time and so that your stay is even more enjoyable!

This was the most unique stay! The bus was so thoughtfully planned out. The property was beautiful-right next to a river with kayaks, fire pit, hammock, and a beach across the street with gorgeous views. It was situated between munising and Marquette-great location if you want to visit both.

The bus is AMAZING! Clean and comfortable, definitely glamping not camping. It's amazing how roomy and comfortable a standard school bus can become. And the location is great - not far from Marquette for restaurants and events and groceries. And an easy walk across the street to Lake Superior for some truly spectacular sunsets and stargazing. They were just digging the field for the septic tank for a new bathhouse when we left which will make it even better - for both those glamping in the bus and any others camping on the property. We would happily stay there again (and likely will).

We spent two nights on the bus and loved it! We were given permission to bring our two young kiddos (2 and 5), and it was a little tight for all of us, but we knew that going into it and wasn't a problem. The kitchenette is pretty well stocked for as small as it is, the bathroom was a step up from the camping we had been doing. It was definitely a memorable experience, and would love to come back again without the kids sometime (although they would not be happy to know we went without them! Lol).

My partner and I had an amazing time at Dragonfly Dunes. We had just completed 50 mile, 3-day hike in the Pictured Rocks so Jamie's cute bus was the perfect respite for us. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a clean, well kept, private, and relaxing stay out of the ordinary.

Our favorite parts were the fire ring with unlimited wood, the outdoor seating, pond views, and the wood interior of the bus.

Do note that you have to do a little work when it comes to showering and using the bathroom but I think it is well worth the trouble.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying in the bus! It was comfortable and cozy. I was a little nervous about it being close to the highway noise but we could barely hear it! The kids loved the dunes and the paddle boat was fun as well. Would recommend 👍🏻
