A beautiful space to relax. Big windows onto the forest, and a super comfortable bed. Loved hearing coyotes and owls as the moon rose. Nearby Chesterfield Gorge and DAR hikes made for a great balance of recreation and rest.
Rustic and simple perfection
What a great place! I really enjoyed my stay at the Just Be Cabin. Stacey was very welcoming when I pulled up to the house and gave me some good pointers on using the woodstove. Brian later gave me helpful directions to get to the Chesterfield Gorge State Reservation (esp. useful since I couldn't get cell service in the area). The property and part of MA that the cabin is located in are both perfect for exploring nature or, if you prefer, just relaxing in the woods at the cabin. A stop at the Old Creamery is a must for coffee, a sandwich, and some baked goods. The cabin was well-stocked with wood and water (although the pump-spigot is a little labor-intensive—I ended up using my own Poland Spring gallon jug). The earth toilet, as they say, "got the job done" in a surprisingly lo-fi and easy-to-use way. Above all, the views from the bedroom are to die for in the morning. Overall, if you're looking for a tidy, cozy, rustic, stay, I'd highly recommend a couple nights at the Just Be Cabin.
The cabin was cozy and very clean, and the bed was super comfortable and warmly layered with blankets and nice sheets. We arrived late so Stacey left the lights on in the cabin for us. Waking up to the view of the woods was a lovely surprise since we arrived in the dark! I’d definitely stay again!
The Just Be Cabin was a wonderful retreat! Stacey was a kind and thoughtful host - there was a surprise snowstorm when we were supposed to arrive, but Stacey gave us updates on the snow and road conditions so we could be prepared. She also started the wood stove early so the cabin was warm and cozy by the time we arrived that night. The cabin was very clean and tidy, with many windows for looking out into the surrounding woods. Note there are no curtains on the windows, so the sun will wake you up in the morning! The nearby area has lots of nice walking and hiking options like Chesterfield Gorge, and we bought maple syrup straight from the source from a house down the road. Highly recommend and would stay again. Thanks, Stacey!
Rest, relax, antique hunt, just be
We are new to Hipcamp, and couldn't have had a better introduction than Just Be Cabin! The cabin was immaculate, with woodstove heat that really felt wonderful on a few chilly nights... Waking up to sit by the stove, sipping coffee, and enjoying the quiet sounds of the birds was a perfect cure for all the busy workdays. Even the bed was very comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The chickens are a great addition; I have always loved to toss food for chickens and listen to their chatter. We would definitely visit again, and would encourage you to get away to Just Be Cabin also!
We had such an amazing stay at Just Be Cabin! Despite the cold outside, the fire really heated up the cabin. We looked out through the large windows to beautiful trees and watched the snow fall, brought food to cook on the wood stove, and ate delicious sandwiches at the nearby co-op called The Creamery. it was a cozy and wonderful weekend and we can't wait to come back!
