Long weekend with family
Sam and his family were very helpful with directions and logistics. We loved the cabin and the location. It doesn't have running water, but the host provided well water in canisters. Sam also helped us to move our stuff and ourselves from the car to the off-grid cabin.
We stayed 2 nights. Even though the weather wasn't very cold at night (40-45 F), the wood stove was a great addition. There are a few sleeping bags/pads in the cabin, but I'd say bring your own sleeping gear.
Participants: 2 adults, 2 kids (5&10 years), 1 toddler (3 months)
Sam was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with! He made sure we had everything we needed and that we understood every part of the cabin (like the wood stove and the gas lighting). He was happy to drive our things to the cabin, so the 1/4 mile walk in was a pleasant stroll through the woods. The cabin is very spacious and can certainly fit groups of any size. There is a nice leather couch and a few chairs for seating, and a bunch of supplies for cooking, camping, etc. The stove kept us very warm and we didn't have to worry about running out of wood at all. Sam was an excellent host and I would recommend this to anyone looking for something not quite glamping but still very comfortable and relaxing.
The cabin was beautiful inside and out with a rustic feeling. I liked how the cabin was very secluded. Sam was awesome and had great hospitality. Definitely recommend and definitely will be returning in the near future. Thanks Sam!
