Alpaca Farm

Recently had a one-night stay over at Outstanding Dreams Farm, and I found it to be a very unique and worthwhile experience. Picture settling in with over 30 beautifully kept alpacas roaming around all parts of the farm. It was serene and surreal. Quietest night's rest I've ever had in the outdoors. I recommend their tour option if you are interested in learning more about their craft and meeting some of the friendliest alpacas. Phil and Vickie were both very hospitable hosts, attending to all of our needs. Firewood (2 bundles) was dry and plentiful enough for our purposes (evening and morning fires). The Porta Potty was close to all the sites and well maintained, too. Speaking of the sites, one is perfect if you're looking for more privacy with an abundance of open field space (you might better see eagles, hawks, deer, foxes, and rabbits here), while the other puts you right next to the alpacas. Be sure to check out their store on-prem for a great selection of things (mostly wearables) alpaca-fur-made. The hats and socks looked great in particular.

This was our first Hipcamp experience and it was great! Phil was a wonderful host, hospitable and accommodating. We stayed in Site 2, near the tree line, which was private and gave the kiddos the run of the field. Meeting all of the alpacas was a once in a lifetime experience. I want one! Truly, this is a great place to camp. It was quiet, the stars were bright and the porta-potty was clean. Thank you Phil, for letting us stay there!

Phil is an amazingly friendly and accommodating host! He was happy to answer all of our questions and is full of charming alpaca stories. The porta potty is very clean and serviced regularly, and the site is pristine and gorgeous. We were the only party and got to set up camp right next to the alpaca pen, which meant my normally reserved senior dog got to live her best life galloping along the alpaca fence while they followed her with curiousity. We ended our trip with souvenirs from their alpaca shop—1000% recommend, there is already talk of revisiting when it’s warmer!

We had so much fun with the alpacas on our fun get-away. Phil and Vickie were wonderful hosts and so gracious! We had a great camping spot with views of the alpacas, which our kids just loved! Thank you for a wonderful time!

We had a great time! Peaceful place to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life .. Phil and Vicki were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home..We definitely learned a lot about Alpacas..

They are adorable!

This was my kids' first camping trip and they had a blast! There is a small playset with swings and a slide which they made good use of and the porta potty was immaculate. The campsites are in an open field so there was plenty of room for the kids to run around, and, since I could always see them, I didn't mind them going farther away from me than I normally would.

The weather was great with s breeze during the day that kept the temperatures to a comfortable level and the mostly clear skies made for a night sky with hundreds of stars.

Phil was an exceptional host. He was warm, welcoming, and helpful. He led us out to our site, brought our firewood, and then came back to check on us later. The next day when he was introducing us to the alpacas, he was great with the kids and answering their questions. The kids have already asked when we're going back, so it's only a matter of time.
