Located 22 miles SE of Evanston, the land is close to the Piedmont kilns and ghost town, Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, original grade of the Transcontinental Railroad (1868-1901), two reservoirs, Fort Bridger (mountain man rendezvouses!), Pony Express Trail, Mormon Pioneer Trail, and Bear River State Park with bison, elk, and sandhill cranes. Also within a two-hour drive of Park City, the Uintas, Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, Fossil National Butte, Bear Lake, and Echo Reservoir. The land was previously a ranch and is still open range.  Our land is surrounded by hundreds of acres of undeveloped land with few of our neighbors living here year-round. The area is great for:  -- Hiking  -- Horseback riding  -- Wildlife/bird watching  -- Rock hounding/fossil hunting  -- Exploring historic areas  -- Fishing/ice fishing (local reservoirs)  -- Kayaking/canoeing  -- Stargazing (little light pollution!) You can see the Milky Way.  -- Exploring ghost towns (nearby Piedmont)  -- Photography  -- Chilling in the silence Something for everyone.

Perfect place for peace and quiet
Had a wonderful experience and a super relaxing time at Jeff’s. We had the whole place to ourselves and fully recuperate after some backcountry camping. We joined Jeff for a late lunch which added to our already great experience. Thanks again Jeff!

Loved the seclusion.
I arrived in the dark. I didn’t have any problem finding it. It was a beautiful morning. I wish I had time to stay longer. It is a one lane road. If you miss a turn, like I did, you will need some backing and turning skills lol. I made it ok turning alone and I don’t have much experience, but it took a bit since I had to be very careful since I was unable to see much as I backed down another road to turn. It was a little steep and there are some drop offs. I was pulling a T@B teardrop with. RAV4. I had no problems. I can’t recall the site I reserved, but it was going to he a problem for my camper to get in. The owner helped me find a different site to pull into easier. It is one of the most beautiful places I stayed!!! When I left in the morning, the owner followed me out. He pulled me over to let me know the air was low in a tire. I needed to get it repaied, so he led me to a nearby place in town where they fixed it super fast at a very low charge. The owner was very friendly and accomodating. I would stay here again.

Beautiful site and friendly host
This site was awesome! Getting there with a sedan is doable - I did it - but go slow. Had ample privacy, cool places to explore, and Jeff was a friendly host. Would recommend!

Great view over interesting landscape. Nice walks along the dirt roads. Reasonably accessible from I-80, which was important as I was traveling along that route.

Beautiful Views & Sunset
Beautiful views! Nice place to catch sunset. Sites are among juniper and sagebrush. Our dog was allowed to run free and got along with owner’s dog. Sites are far enough apart where we did not see the other campers when parked. Great sites for camper/trailers, but would be pretty muddy if you were Tenting after or during a rain event. We saw some deer in the morning and heard some coyote at night. Easy to drive the road; but Definitely follow the Host’s written directions and don’t solely rely on your phone App. My basic iPhone app mapped correctly, my husband’s fancy map app did NOT.

Secluded area with multiple flat areas for tents and a nice tree for shade. We stayed with 3 adults, 2 kids, and a dog and it was perfect for us!

Gorgeous red rock hideaway
Jeff’s land is gorgeous and a great camping experience. Jeff was very kind and responsive to my messages. I was concerned because another review mentioned being unable to navigate the road in a 2WD vehicle but we had no trouble at all. The campsites are very secluded and peaceful with areas of gorgeous red rocks to explore. I’d highly recommend Jeff and his hipcamp!

So beautiful! Also, Jeff was helpful when we were making our way in. Having a 4x4 vehicle would have given us access to a greater range of sites, but we did just fine with a 4x2 Jeep Patriot.

Worth the gravel roads for the view
Great off grid location for a dispersed camping vibe! Gravel road but just about any vehicle could get there. Worth it for the sunset views!

So, we didn't actually end up staying at Jeff's but we drove by and the property is glorious. Jeff was kind and prompt in his communication and should we end up driving through again with less wind and local fire activity, we would LOVE to actually visit his gorgeous property!

Top Of The World
Loved our stay on Jeff's property. The views were stunning! Really appreciated the escort to the property :-) It was quiet and beautiful. High desert at its best. Jeff came to meet and check on us the next morning and we had a great conversation. We would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for something secluded and primitive. Would want an All wheel or 4 wheel to access the campsites.

Easy stay
Jeff’s place was beautiful, great communication, followed the directions easily. We did have cell phone service there with At&T and virus on both. We were able to have a fire in the provided ring, plenty of dried out firewood on site so didn’t have to bring any.

Excellent site, fun things to do.
Wonderful site and super friendly hosts. It was perfectly secluded and not hard to get to. We had a truck but a car could easily drive on the dirt roads. Jeff met us on site and made sure we had a good idea of where to go etc. We would definitely go back. In terms of places to go and things to see, we were able to drive to the old Kilns and the ghost town of Piedmont (about 10-15 minutes). Then we went on to Ft. Bridger (around 45 minutes)--all on back roads. We also made it down to Meeks Cabin Reservoir for a cold dip (30-45 minutes away from camp). It was a little tricky to get down to certain parts of the shoreline but it also wasn't crowded if you're up for the adventure.

Gorgeous campsite! Jeff kindly helped us find our site when we arrived after dark. Beautiful view of the stars at night. Glad we hiked around a bit before we left. Distant snowcap mountain views were breathtaking!

Need a 4x4 to get to the camp
Couldn’t get to the camp without a 4x4. We gave up after about a mile down a single lane road. Lost the $40 and I think it should have said that you can’t get there without a 4x4.
