We had a great time at the Dragonfly Retreat. My wife and I enjoyed the clean private campsite. The hosts were very attentive as well. I would definitely recommend!

Lovely spot! Close by state parks, the ferry, trails and the beach. Very private, quiet and lots of fury friends/birds in the area. The porta potty was spotless and has hand washing which was great. Although you’re next to the highway we found it easy to fall asleep and peaceful at night! Plenty of space for any vehicle/set up.

Dragonfly Retreat
This was a lovely, centrally located, tucked away location to pitch a tent. It was a perfect place to get away from the campground crowds and explore the island. We loved hearing the owls at night and appreciated the clean Porta Potty with hand washing facilities.

Our stay was impossible due to the Navy Jets that were training all night and all day. They flew over our campsite and near our campsite at all hours. While our host was supportive, kind and immediately refunded us when we all realized camping was going to be impossible, I do NOT recommend camping here when the Navy jets are training. Even though our kind host offered ear plugs, it was never going to work for the adults or the small children in our party. Some of the passes the jets made were so low it felt frightening even though I am sure what the jets were doing was routine for them. The last time we stayed here, there was no training and it was the most wonderful camping experience. As long as there are no jets, this place is amazing!

Dragonfly Retreat
First, this is truly Dragonfly’s Retreat: lots of dragonflies! An unexpected treat. The location is in an isolated wooded plot. We found it to be private and quite pleasant. Most important for us is that it was very close to our favorite beaches. We’ll be returning!

Very nice stay. It was totally as advertised. plenty of flat area to camp. Porta Pot was spotless. Fire pit was small but appropriate for conditions.
We got a treat on Friday of the marine jets fly by, be aware that can be very loud but did not last long and we enjoyed the show.

Lovely, spacious camping site that was private and well-kept. Beautiful area with a fire pit, clean portable toilet, and small bench. I went with a group of four and there was more than enough space for two large tents and felt like we had our own little nature space. There is a road nearby that was occasionally a bit noisy but it was typically secondary to the sound of birds singing! Definitely recommend this site and Tammy provided helpful instructions.

We had a great time at Tammy's camp. The grass area is spacious and flat. The driveway and turnaround are in great shape. The porta john was well maintained. We saw many birds and deer. The property is very private. The only thing that some people might not like is the proximity to the highway. It is about 100 yards through woods but you can hear it. In the tent at night it was hardly noticeable once traffic quiets down. The site is centrally located on the island so it is a great home base if exploring is is what you are into.

Definitely would stay again. Like all the other reviews, lots of good space and privacy. And clean porta potty! Which was a huge help for us. You do hear traffic noise, but it is not that bad and you get used to it. And you do not see the lights from the traffic. Will stay again once in the area.

Interesting single campsite with a turnabout surround a grassy area with a campfire ring in the middle. I pulled my mini camper trailer in and found it level and easy to navigate. There is a porta-potty (which was immaculate), and firewood. I happened to meet the host. Very nice person. I would go back for sure.

Great stay. Having complete privacy was wonderful. Made a nice little fire with the wood provided and really enjoyed that. The porta potty was clean and well stocked with TP. As mentioned, there is a little noise from the highway (maybe 100 yds away through the forest)… but I’m a sound -enough sleeper that it did not bother me at all… even in a tent. I’d definitely stay here again.

This site was amazing! The entire place was so clean, the port-a-potty was so clean I didn’t even worry about my kids using it. It felt private and beautiful. We had the most wonderful fires at night and felt safe letting our small children run around. The entire island felt accessible from where we were. We will absolutely be back! Thank you!

Location was great! The amenities were also awesome. I very much appreciated being stocked with firewood and clean Porta potty. Only downside was the sound of the highway. Others have said they hardly notice but it's quite loud and cars were going all night. Regardless I would go back for the rate, convenience, privacy of no other campers. Extra bonus was feeling like snow white with all the critters.

Great spot for a few nights on the island in our travel trailer. Felt private and was very well kept up. Ended up pouring down rain the first couple of nights, so we didn’t use the fire pit, but it looked nice and cozy. Porta potty was recently serviced and cleaned. There is a main road behind the property, but we rarely noticed. The runaround had plenty of room for our 20 ft. trailer.
We even got to see F-18’s fly over pretty close to the ground (not a common occurrence). Having worked on F-15’s, it took me back. Would highly recommend.

Dragonfly retreat was an amazing place to stay! Tent camped here with 5 friends & 5 dogs and it was perfectly secluded and private. Plus plenty of space for the doggos to run around. As a plus, the port-a-potty was the cleanest that my friends and I had ever seen!

Very clean portapotty. We appreciated the small stack of wood and axe left for a cozy fire. One deer visited the site but that was all the neighbors we had for two nights. We enjoyed the solitude and not camping next to 40 other campers.

We had such a wonderful time staying at the Dragonfly Retreat! It was so nice to have the place to ourselves and how well maintained everything was. The porta potty was recently cleaned and well stocked.
Tammy was communicative and answered all of our questions. She was kind enough to bring us extra firewood so we had more than enough for the night.
Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend staying here!

Beautiful wide open campsite that allows for stargazing on a clear night. There is a nice rock firepit with firewood supplied. The portapotty is well stocked and the cleanest I’ve seen at a campsite. Tammy was very responsive and helpful as well. We will definitely return!
