Had expected more
We had expected more in order to the price we paid. We got there in the dark and there were no marked places or signs. Not to recommend if you have a swag or tent like we had. Felt like putting up the swag in a random spot, but have to mention there were no other people there.

We really loved how close this bushy site was to town! Though it was close to a road it’s a very quiet area. Our kids loved being able to use the basketball court and delighted in being visited by two kelpies from across the road. We’d definitely stay again.

Great base to explore Torquay!
Excellent little spot to base yourself in Torquay. The site area was dirt/sand surface and uneven so take your levelling chocks if you’re in a caravan. We took a 20 ft van in ( actually didn’t ready the part about nothing over 18ft sorry to our hosts that’s my fault) and had no trouble getting in or out. Plenty of room. Very quiet spot and felt so safe and secure with our 2 little kids. Our very well trained dog was very happy to spend his days off leash sunbaking after 6 weeks of rules requiring him on leash elsewhere which was awesome thank you. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we were travelling to Torquay. Thanks very much to our hosts who very much left us to our vices during our stay. Very affordable as well! I would recommend to anyone travelling through.

Consider other options
When we booked there was only a couple of sites to choose from, and other reviews had noted how private it was. Since our booking, other sites have been added and we had people right next to us both nights. I went back into my original booking email and clicked on the link to check, and the listing could no longer be found, confirming these changes were made. I also noticed the name had changed.
This is all fine, but not what we booked. There was no communication to advise us of this also. Even the people who showed up to camp next to us were surprised of their "site". So to future bookers, don't trust previous reviews, it's a small property so there is no privacy if the other sites are booked.
I also tried contacting the host for an unrelated matter and received no response. We camp a lot and have been lucky to experience many good hipcamps, unfortunately we cannot rate this one. If the host kept the privacy then it would be worth it.
