Wind Walker Homestead has been a destination resort for decades, but is now family owned and being updated and marketed for groups, couples, families, reunions, weddings retreats or just a camping weekend away from the hussle of city life. There is a special spirit on the land here and is visited by Native American groups each year. Elk, deer and many other species of wildlife are present at different times. With 170 acres, there is plenty of room to hike, bike and let the kids explore. Utah juniper and Cedar are the species of trees on this high desert landscape at 6000 foot elevation. A newly renovated pool summer 2021 and new bathrooms, showers and laundry room added (in a 14 foot grain silo) by the pool spring 2022. We just added a basketball area and sand volleyball is summer 2022. 8 new full hookup RV pads also going in summer 2022. Far enough away from the lights of surrounding towns of Spring City, Mt. Pleasant and Ephraim, the Milky Way and stars will amaze. Come and visit for a night or a week. We look forward to seeing you soon. - Cindy, Bob, Joe and Natalie

It was great camping at Wind Walker Homestead; having the dining hall nearby with shower and bathroom was a really nice luxury. Would definitely recommend.

Best tent camping experience ever!
We had the most wonderful time at Wind Walker! We stayed in a tent spot, and were less than a minute walk away from the swimming pool with bathroom and shower. It was so much fun to go down and swim at the end of the day to cool off before going to bed. We really enjoyed going down to see the peacocks, and we even got to see the baby peacocks! This is definitely a place we want to return to and stay for longer next time! Cindy and her family were delightful as well.

Wind Walker Homestead made the perfect basecamp for a climbing weekend at nearby Maple Canyon (23 min drive). The property was quiet and peaceful, with all the amenities you need. Bathroom and shower was clean. A pair of lambs roamed the property, and nearby were pens of goats and chickens that were fun to watch. You pick your site when you arrive, which is nice as you can space out from other sites and there is little to no noise from other folks. If you stay up late the stars are amazing too!

Overall ok it was very busy with a family reunion, perhaps limit individual campers when your property is so busy.

This is not a typical Hipcamp. It’s actually a “dude ranch” that Bob and Cindy are renovating and expanding. There are no designated camp spots. Instead, you can camp just about anywhere amongst the pinyon. The property has a well maintained pool and a club house with pool and ping pong. There are bathroom and showers that are also well kept.

This place was awesome! It’s private, relaxing, great owners & friendly farm animals. Our kids loved the black lab & they were sad when we left. The pool was a bonus especially when it gets hot. Everything was great!! We would visit again & recommend it to anyone.

Camping plus a pool
It was a great place! There was a surprise swimming pool that we didn’t know about somehow and so we went and bought some swimsuits and it was awesome! Our campsite was very private and the other people we met on the property were friendly. I totally recommend this place!

Good space!
Loved this place so much! Bummed we couldn’t stay longer! The AC wasn’t working but it was cool enough that we didn’t “need” it. Cindy was the sweetest human alive! Sheep and peacocks roam free and are really sweet to interact with. Hope we can stay again longer on our next trip! Beautiful beautiful spot!

High Desert Camping is absolutely fantastic! We enjoyed the solitude and peace and quiet so much. We stayed in our 20' RV right outside their very handsome main recreation building. We like to play pool and their table was perfect for us. Just outside the rec building is a large beautiful lawn and a gazebo with comfortable seating. There's a lovely pool for guests too. The hosts (Cindy and Bob) were terrific. The vibe is very laid back and welcoming. Just a few blocks down the street is Spring City. It's so charming! There were two very good restaurants which we really were impressed with. Don't forget to fill your water bottles at the old town spring next to the 76 station. This HipCamp spot is now my favorite! You will love it 👌

Spacious and luxurious camping
This was a beautiful and spacious property with plenty of room to pitch your tent and get quiet and privacy. There were trees for shade, a pool for cooling off, lots of animals around and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying there again

Awesome Hosts and Campground
One of the best HipCamps I have had the chance to stay at. Flat and private camp sites within walking distance to a hot shower and bathroom on the property. They also have a pool, basketball court, and charcoal grill if you are into any of that. The hosts are great at communicating prior to arrival and are helpful once you arrive. There is also a town nearby if you need to stock up on supplies.

Great Facilities!
The facilities were spectacular and I loved the little area around the dining hall. Lots of flies, but that was expected with farm animals close to the camp area. We did get woken up at 3am by a dog barking at our camper van for about 10 minutes but he finally ran off (I think it was protecting the sheep.) Other than that it was a great quick stay and the hosts were very kind and welcoming!

Good clean drinking water from the well. Was able to fill the tank on my RV for our 3 night stay. Cindy was great- available but left us to ourselves which is just what we like. We were able to drive our OHV right from her property about 3 miles to an access point to the Arapeen Trail. Lots of sheep next to the property so if farm sounds don’t work for you, ask to be on the East side away from them.

This was a pit stop for me on a trip to southern Utah. It was perfect. I was looking for a quiet location with a comfortable bed that would accommodate my dog too. They had the studio already warmed and opened the kitchen so I could prepare my dinner. It was perfect.

Great spot, great hosts, great dog!
We loved campervan camping out on Cindy + Bob’s beautiful property! Despite the snow there was plenty of room to park. We enjoyed the ping pong table, pool table, hot shower, and best of all: playing fetch with Kibo! Great place to stay on the way to Capitol Reef. Hosts went out of their way to help us find some propane and made sure we had everything we needed. Would stay again!

Joe and Sarah were extremely accommodating! My partner and I booked their site the day of, unaware of how snowy/icy the weather was going to be, and last minute they let us stay in their artist's cottage for a little more. There was a heater, fresh sheets & towels, a hot shower and fireplace in the recreation hall- really everything you could ask for! They seriously turned what could have been a very unpleasant night in the snow to a very cozy and comfortable stay. Their homestead was absolutely beautiful, and they had baby goats and peacocks on the property. Our dog, Sandy, had a blast exploring. It snowed overnight and all morning, which was a real treat. We'd absolutely come back- their hospitality was unmatched and the property was stunning.

My partner and I were only passing through Utah, so our time on Wind Walker homestead was brief. That’s not to say we didn’t enjoy ourselves. Joe and Cindy were very friendly and accommodating. Their property is stunning and we hope to return to stay a bit longer so we can take in the breathtaking scenery. We were also very cozy in the artist shack during a December snowstorm.

Super friendly owners. Very clean and shower is EPIC as far as water pressure. Unfortunately it was raining during our stay, but we did see plenty of signage for things to see on our way to Bryce Canyon for those staying here.

Lovely ranch stay, friendly hosts
Cindy's property is awesome - they have a beautiful lawn and gazebo area plus clubhouse where they host weddings and events that guests have access to. The artist's cottage was cozy and comfortable, with great artwork and a nice little porch seating area. It was fun to see the cows, pigs, horses, and chickens on the property - they are far enough from that cabin that it wasn't noisy. Cindy and her husband were helpful and friendly. We would definitely come back!

A great place to set up camp for a few days. Lots of great spots to chose from. Shower and toilet available as well. The hosts are super friendly as was the new puppy they had. This ranch is located in a great area for hiking and rock climbing. National Forests everywhere you look. We loved it. If we travel back this way we will for sure look it up again.

Beautiful property, cute little cabin, with comfortable beds. We had to walk across a field, not too far for the bathroom and shower. It was a great relief from sleeping in a tent and glorious to have a hot shower. Our hosts were very attentive and kind. I would definitely recommend!
