Seabase SCAMPS
Fun place to camp!
Super fun place to stay! The Scamp trailers are the perfect size for 2 people. We stayed for 1 night and enjoyed walking around the water and watching the fish get fed in the morning. Linda and George are incredible hosts and we got a great opportunity to sit down to hot chocolate and good conversation with then. We are already talking about staying at the Seabase for a another trip to include Scuba Diving.

Seabase SCAMPS
I arrived and left in the wintery darkness which made the inland sea and snow and scamps seem even more like an Arctic base camp. Linda was so welcoming and even though it was in the teens out there the electric heater helped keep the scamp cozy.

Best overnight stop from MN to NV
I loved my stay in the scamp. Such a great value in a great spot. The host was super helpful and accommodating when i arrived a bit past closing. I was grateful for that after driving 10 hours. I hope to come back again to see the fish!

Great spot! The Mountain views were lovely and I parked right by the “ocean” for a great little desert water side visit. Hosts were great, I was comfortable and felt safe. Will visit again if I come this way!

Interesting little spot. Does the job for a night stay and was fun to snorkel at the seabase before sleeping in the scamp. Easy to find, friendly people and simple enough.

Bonneville Seabase is a wonderful and unique place. I am so happy we stopped to enjoy. We only snorkeled because we were on our way to another destination but I am so glad we did camp out to enjoy the amazing night sky and visited the water for a fun morning of exploration.

A night here landed me in the ER
We decided to stay here for a night and, boy, was that a mistake. First of all, it was not a very comfortable stay. The "camp site" was near the road so you could hear trucks passing by all night long.
It was nice that they offered showers (you have to be in your bathing suit since it's in a public area), but the entire area is infested with mosquitoes since there is a lot of standing water around. After showering, we were getting our tent up and felt like something was biting us. Linda, the owner of this site, preemptively offered bug spray to us without us asking. That was nice, but that just meant that she knows this area is a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
Once we realized we were getting bitten by mosquitoes, we tried our best not only to cover up, but also made a camp fire to try to deter them. By morning, I had at least 8 bites. It was such an uncomfortable stay that we decided to leave immediately when we woke up the next morning and didn't bother trying to have breakfast there.
Two days after leaving this camp site, one of the bites on the back of my leg was enflamed and I ended up having a high fever. We tried going to Urgent Care, but they said it looked infected so I had to go to the ER after. The area where I was bit was swollen up and was the size of a baseball. I've been out of commission all week and have been on antibiotics. While Linda is very nice, I wouldn't recommend this location as a camp spot due to all the mosquitoes and its proximity to the road.

Linda and the employees of Utah’s mini “ocean” were very nice and respectful, and very helpful for me as I am on a road trip across America! They offered me advice on what to see and say with me and took the time to explain the area to me to travel. The fish “pedicures” were amazing and the tropical fish were beautiful!

Our host Linda was super nice. And we were already to set up our tent, when we realized we left our bags at home. LOL duh. So we ended up having to go back home. But Linda was very sweet and she said we could come up whenever we wanted again without pain. She is great! And I can’t wait to do you some scuba diving next time!

Very interesting location in the middle of a salt flat. Hosts were kind and welcoming, very secluded and private site. There are definitely some little gnats so bring bug spray! Good stopover point for traveling through.

Peaceful oasis
I loved my overnight at Seabase. Just a few miles off of I-80, Linda’s spot is both conveniently located and far enough off the hwy to feel secluded and quiet. The cozy Scamps are bare yet super-functional. I enjoyed watching the moon rise over the flats, waking up to birdsong, and having a fish “pedicure” in the morning sun. Best of all: friendly, accommodating owner and staff.

My second time staying there. It’s such a cute little ocean oasis in the middle of nowhere. Make sure to get a fish pedicure and enjoy the stargazing.

Unique Location, Friendly Host!
Really great location. Linda is super friendly, location is super unique (scuba diving and lessons in the middle of desert / salt flats? fish pedicures?), experience is very laid back. Great for tent camping, you can just set up anywhere on the enormous property. Clean porta-potty. It is pretty close to the road so there is some noise but it's not overwhelming, in my opinion.
Stay for the fish pedicure in the morning, only $5! Bundles of wood are available for $5 as well,
