Valkyrie Ranch is a 500 acre wildlife preserve and event venue located in Paige, Texas. The ranch is mostly wooded (about 300 acres) with native Loblolly pines, blackjack oaks, swamp oaks, and post oaks. There are 17 acres of lakes that offer catch-and-release fishing for bigmouth and stripped bass. It is home to hundreds of endangered and functionally extinct animals. We are also the home of Cedar Creek Saddle Club - who have full equestrian services from boarding to trail riding and riding lessons. And Thorin's Viking Mead - a popular mead and cider producer in Texas. (Tours of the winery are always available.) We offer primitive camping, dry camping for RVs, boon docking, and glamping in our cabins. Located only 40 minutes from downtown Austin, one-and-a-half hours from Houston and San Antonio we are a great day trip and weekend getaway. Our camping locations are private, and the entire property is surrounded by security fence and has managed gate access.

I have stayed here numerous times, this place is a gem. Although the original guy I dealt with Jim, is no longer there, which caused some major confusion upon my arrival along with an emergency at the ranch. After meeting up with the staff and clearing up the confusion we enjoyed our 2 nights. My wife loves the Brahman bull, as he comes walking over for pets every-time she calls it ❤️ . Waking up to huge bucks watching from afar, and the herds of everything roaming the land is so special! I love this place and go at least a few times a year! Still have yet to try the Mead they make there.

I loved the campground, the problem is the uneven ground and the closeness of the amps.

Site 1 - 50 Amp RV Hookups

Perfect stress free set up!

The hookups are bit rudimentary but they saved me enough money in fuel costs for he generator. I would have liked a better water situation but the ability to fill my tank worked out perfectly. If I was to provide constructive criticism I'd suggest numbering the spaces and widening the space between them. As well as providing a more secure "power tower". Over 10/10 would recommend. And we will rent a spot again in the future!

Over priced

Very unorganized. No actual site. They just point and park you in a field. No water hook ups as advertised. Extremely expensive for no available amenities.

Viking Ranch Camping

We love this property. We've camped here twice and had some great times with friends. The hosts are super welcoming and it's a fantastic ranch to camp on. Lots to see, nice walks, crazy wildlife - great all around!

Boondocking / Dry Camping RV

Awesome for all ages

My wife and I took our 4yr grandson to spend the weekend at Valkarie ranch. It could not have been more perfect. We were very secluded and were able to wander around the property and explore. The wildebeest, black buck, Chinese water deer and fallow deer were roaming the property. It was like we were in Jumanji. The host was very nice and accommodating. This was our third stay there. We will definitely be back.
