We loved the campground, specifically the main area where we grilled and hung out under the hanging lights. The trail was nice to walk around and this spot would be perfect for kids.

Because of the cold/rain we didn’t stay the night this time, but we went in the morning and our friends and their kids loved the common area with the bus and other play area items. We used the common area fire, and went hiking on the trails a few times. We love this place!

We loved our stay here! The play area was awesome and in great condition. Our kids loved the bus and swings. Our campsite was clean and secluded, yet not too far from “civilization” at all. We plan on coming back and would definitely recommend!

Camp feeling, but very comfortable
Stay was great! Very clean, well marked trail. Lots of amenities and the bathrooms/showers were great. In a populated area, but it doesn’t feel like it when you get back into your campsite.

Site 3 - The Wilderness Campground
A great place for a small family!
The Wilderness Campground was an amazing experience and definitely a great first campground for our family to visit altogether. The grounds were excellently maintained and the site rules were easy to follow. We experienced a lovely hike around the campsite with some slight elevation changes. We stayed at site #3 which is roughly 500 steps or so from the communal bathrooms, park, and picnic grounds. You’ll definitely get steps in so I recommend a wagon to get your items back and forth. The sites were quiet and private with only a small amount of road noise at night - just enough white noise to help us fall asleep. We enjoyed it so much and would 100% stay here again! Also, I believe we encountered 3 staff members during our stay and all were so kind and welcoming! Great place to visit and camp!

Beautiful area, spacious site, fun playground for the kids, clean restrooms/showers. Site was also clean. We really enjoyed our stay. And it was nice that it was a short (45 mins) drive from Houston.

Great place for a quick stay!
Camp grounds were well kept, bathroom and shower facility was clean! We loved the common areas and the hiking/walking trail!

Nice property, enjoyed our stay
Enjoyed our stay. Campsites were well maintained as well as the bathrooms. Come prepared with bug spray, there is a pond adjacent to the property and mosquitos were really, really bad around sunset but a nice coating of bug spray got us thru until it finally got dark and the bugs gave up for the most part.
Overall we had a great time and all amenities were as advertised!

The stay was great, everything very neat restrooms and showers clean. I did love the picnic area, Safety and privacy excellent the only thing that we miss there is no lake.

Great experience!
We had an amazing experience! It exceeded my expectations. The campground is immaculate and the restrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground. There were horseshoes, tetherball, washers, an obstacle course, an empty school bus, and 3 types of swings (2 regular, 1 baby, and a giant tire swing). The trail through the campground was impressive with some elevation changes toward the back of the property. We had an amazing time and will definitely return.

Don’t miss out on this gem!!!
Everything was perfect. Clean quiet and private. Area is beautiful and the host robin was extremely friendly. We will definitely be going back again. Save us a spot Robin!!!
