Site 2 (Dogs OK)(no cattle)
We stayed by the river in a primitive campsite. The area is very green, and being right on the Guadalupe river, it is a great location. The river is very muddy, and looked unpleasant for swimming but we enjoyed kayaking. The campsites do not have any graceful way to get to the river, you need to slip down a muddy slope to the river edge. My son spent hours fishing (bass) and did not get so much as a 'nibble'. We heard from the owner that catfish were present, though we didn't have the proper bait.
At night, the area has the wildest assortment of wildlife sounds - we could not begin to identify even half of the animals we could hear at 3AM.
The campsites are about 1/3 mile from the road, so vehicle noise (while not zero) was minimal.
There were no amenities other than trimmed grass, a road to the campsite, a rake, and the nearby river.
Communication was good, and we enjoyed our time here.

Private Oasis on the Guadelupe
I'd honestly rather keep this spot a secret but Billy deserves the credit. This is a little slice of heaven. Primitive camping at its finest. Right on the bank of the river, beautiful shade and sun plentifully available. You'll definitely see cows and goats which we loved. Billy was a kind host. He delivered some fire wood, told us about the space and then left us to our solitude. Keep the space clean fam. Preserve this little slice of heaven.

Billy is a great host with a wonderful property! Great communication and the land and views are better than what the pictures show. We have Verizon and had cell phone service the entire time-even though it wasn’t needed! We will be back, thanks!

Perfect spot!
Great host and great site! Right on the water. Plenty of shade with a clearing if you want to camp away from the trees. Firewood available for a great price. Will be back!

Had a great time tent camping on Billy’s land. It was a super nice spot right next to the river. Had a great time taking the boat out and hang out with the cows. Billy’s great and super helpful I definitely recommend!

Had a great time, very peaceful setting. Livestock would wander around and there is a boat you can go on the river with. Still had excellent phone reception as well just in case you want to stay in touch.

Quiet River Spot
Billy, his property and his goats are great. Besides the fact that he helped us save a baby cow our spot has good river access. We kayaked up the river 3 miles and biked at the nearby state park. A very quiet spot with only one other site about 100 yards away.

Great riverside camping
Had a great time. Spent 3 nights right off the river. Very pretty and praceful area. Cows, sheep, and little goats on the property. Billy was a great host, even left us some wood for the fire pit. Will definitely be back!

The spot was beautiful! We camped with our dog in our tent, Billy had a fire pit for us to use and we bought two bundles of wood from him. Before we got there we got lunch at Baker Boys BBQ (Texas Monthly Top 50) and loved it! Billy’s goats came to visit us around dinner time which was such a special treat. Very secluded spot. Great stargazing. Definitely want to come back!

Everything about the land is peaceful and relaxing. His goats, sheep and cattle give a certain relaxing feel. Don't be afraid when the baby goats stray off and come running down the hill at you. The water and camp sites are always clean. If you star gaze, this place is perfect. Always a good time

Another great weekend in the books. For my birthday treat, I wanted to go back to this site. We stayed Friday through Sunday, visited with the goats, caught some fish and cooked over our fire pit. I hate leaving but I’m always excited to go back! Thanks again Billy. We had another great weekend 👍🏻

Great Camping Spot!
Our stay at this campsite was great! My family and I did tent camping at the site and it coyldnt have been better. There was ideal access to the river and the site itself was well maintained, pretty level, and beautiful. If it's been raining, access can be a little dicey, but even after an all night soaker we were able to come and go in standard vehicles as the ground dried fairly quickly. The host, Billy, was very friendly and communication was excellent. I highly recommend this site for tubing, kayaking/canoeing, or just relaxing in camp.

Best site ever
The tent camping here is amazing. The ground is very soft with lots of leaves for ground comfort. Billy is the best host ever. Super communicative as well as kind once you get on the land. I would definitely recommend this site for other people looking to have a good weekend getaway !

Absolutely perfect spot for us. It was windy and 37 degrees but we were completely out of the wind and toasty in our tent. Billy was vey accommodating, we’ll absolutely be back. Thank you Billy!

Best Spot!
Awesome view, and easy access to the river. Lots of space and soft ground to set your tent up. Billy was a great host and even had well water on site for us to use. He also provided firewood for a small fee. Overall great experience!
