A beautiful piece of property with a thousand feet of riverfront. Enjoy the peaceful Paluxy River just minutes away from the historic Glen Rose Texas square. Enjoy kayaking, fishing, camping, swimming, and exploring. Sit back, relax and enjoy the small town of Glen Rose Texas. This private property feels like you are miles away in the country. But, you have access to all the perks Glen Rose has to offer just minutes away. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent on the Paluxy River under giant pecan trees. Enjoy the scenic view of our beautiful river. Our private property is located near the historic square of glen rose but feels like you are miles away in the country. Have fun kayaking, swimming, fishing or just sit back and enjoy the views. We have four different sites to choose from. Most have a tree break area in-between for privacy. Or rent all 4 and have the entire property to yourself. *Please note due to the hot temperatures and the lack of rain the river is very low. We are advising people not to swim(head under water) in the river until conditions improve. Updated river photos will be posted on our facebook page, or message me for updates. We have 4 different sites. All of them overlook the Paluxy River. Site Big Pecan: This is the farthest site up river and has one of the largest pecan trees I've ever seen. The trees provide great shade cover during the summer. This site has a awesome rock patio seating area over looking the river with stairs to provide easy access. Also available are 2 wooden Adirondack chairs on the rock patio, picnic table, metal firepit and numerous extras available to rent. There is also a public playground across the main road. Site 1 Limestone ledge: Firepit seating area overlooking the river with 4 Adirondack chairs, separate rock patio overlooking river, huge pecan trees, kids play set, 2 picnic tables. Site 2: Firepit seating area overlooking limestone riverbed with Adirondack chairs, picnic table, shallow area of river for kids to play. Site 3: Firepit seating area overlooking the riverbed, 2 Adirondack chairs, 2 picnic tables, 2 sets of rock stairs to riverbed, shallow area of river for kids to play. Site 4 Big Cottonwood: Under Construction. Farthest site downstream. Nice rock patio overlooking the river. Easy access for RV's and trailers. Rock stairs to river for easy access. 2 wooden rocking chairs with patio overlooking river. Great area to sit in the river with a lawn chair. Alot of people buy two sites for more privacy and room for larger groups. For example many purchase Big Pecan and site 1. Or site 2 and 3. kayaks, wood, outdoor games, frisbee golf baskets and disc, propane firepit, and other extras available for rent. Big Pecan
Great river spot
The spot by the river is beautiful. Our small kids and our labs loved swimming in the river. The site is a bit loud because it’s very loud close to town. We did enjoy the GR high school band music on Friday night. Beautiful area!

Site 1 - Pecan Trees & Patio
Paul is an excellent host, we stayed here a little over a year ago and the place has undergone some major updates. We stayed in site 1. The fire pit and stone work for the stairs is amazing. The proximity to town is great, yes you hear a little road noise but not bad. One word of caution, if you are not aware of what bull nettle looks like it is worth learning. Paul has obviously made a concerted effort to eliminate as much of it as possible, but this is Texas and it will grow where it can. Best bet is to learn it and avoid it. We had no problem doing this. We will definitely be back.

Nice but inconvenient w/out toilet
I have to start by saying that the campsites are nice and have an even nicer view. But I do have a couple of suggestions to leave for the host. Since there is no toilet whatsoever on the grounds it may be a good idea to specify that it is not suitable for tents as we really had NO place to pee cause the sites were close enough that mother nature could not be used. It wasn't a big problem as we only stayed 1 night but if someone stays longer, what are they supposed to do? Maybe have a portapotty?!? The other suggestion is to put some gravel in the ditch between the entrance and the campsites. It happened to have heavy rains when we were there and had a hard time pulling out an SUV!

Site 3 - Patio w/ River View
It's a nice little getaway and the river water was very clear, at least until me and the pup got in.
