Croesus Canyon Camps Car Camping
convenient & beautiful spot
Great place to camp for a few nights- right between the national & state park! Brandon was very helpful upon arrival and the bathroom was always clean. There is also wifi near the bathroom/ host camp which was great for planning our days out. The weather wasn’t the greatest when we were there but i’d imagine the stars & sunrises/sunsets are typically amazing from the campsites

This place is awesome!
Where to begin? The location is perfectly situated between the National and State Parks as well as the towns of Terlingua and Lajitas. It’s a great spot to see a lot of the Big Bend region and community. This RV spot has 360 degree Big Bend views. Beautiful sunrise’s & sunsets can be expected here. The host, Brandon, was so friendly and helpful. He just wants you to have a good time! The property also accommodates car camping, walk in tent camping & even primitive camping. Other accommodations are in the works too. And you can also explore here! The property has a jeep and hiking trail up onto a beautiful mesa where you can find all type of rare plants and shell fossils. I highly recommend this campsite!

Cool canyon … cool host!
Cool camp site with an even cooler host! Brandon was awesome and very accommodating. He even had smoked turkey and brisket available for purchase! So needless to say we had a great camp meal that evening! The tent sites sit on the edge of the canyon running through the property so that was fun to explore. Restroom facilities were a bonus! Way better than my bucket!! Cool spot!! 🤙🍻

Great Lajitas spot!
Great spot for base camp while exploring and adventuring in the area. We stayed the night before and night after our backpacking trip out into the mess. Off the beaten path but not hard to find. We used a walk-in site and they were easy to locate, well laid out, and very, very clean. The bathroom is very clean and pretty centrally located.

Fantastic Stay!!
Great campsite! Super clean and easy to navigate. We got to the campsite at night and the owners were very helpful with checking in and everything, made all of us feel at ease. The bathroom was so clean, never had a bad experience with it. Overall, we had a great experience at this campsite and I fell in love with big bend, can’t wait to come back.

I needed a place last minute and found available spots here. It was very easy to register late at night and still get a tent site and saved me from having to sleep in my car. The directions were clear and the response was prompt after I registered online. It's easy to find and very tidy. It's a really peaceful place.

I had a great time staying at Brandon's place. Due to crazy winds, strange/bad weather, and tire issues. We ended up getting in pretty late and Brandon was super awesome and very accommodating. Told us to just get there safe. We are definitely coming back! Perfect location. Very close to Terlingua and BBRSP. And BBNP. The stars were beautiful, and the views were amazing. Definitely book with them!

Wonderful stay!! Brandon was very welcoming and very helpful. We asked him for tips on some activities and he was very informative. When we saw him around, he was very eager to ask what we had done that day and ask how we were enjoying our time. We enjoyed breathtaking sunrises, sunsets, and star-gazing opportunities every day/night. Definitely recommend! We will be back!

We really loved the car camp setup with picnic tables and a charcoal grill and the beautiful views at sunrise and sunset. The camp is only 1 mile from the mountain bike trails around the Lajitas Intl. airport. Found the bathroom to be very clean with a deep basin sink handy for a post ride face rinse.

Great desert camping site!
Great place for tent or car/truck camping. Clean well laid out sites with tremendous views all around. There are 2 RV sites with electric and water but this primarily for tent/car/truck camping. There are additional walk-in sites as well. I spent 4 nights in RV spot with truck camper. Hosts couldn’t have been more friendly. Great tips on where to find local eating and gifts. Not far from Big Bend, so there’s that. All in all, had a very enjoyable time and will return.

Great stay
I would highly recommend camping on Brandon’s land. You have the opportunity to plug-in and get water as well as primitive camp amongst the Ocotillo’s. The sunsets out there hard to beat and it’s better than staying in an RV park. Also definitely get the barbecue it’s worth it.

Croesus Canyon Camps Walk-in camp
Functional site, beautiful sunrise
Brandon was a great host, accommodating, helpful and very responsive to questions. We needed a place to throw down a tent on the night before/after our day hike and this facility served its purpose. We arrived after dark and left just after dawn both nights. It's easy to find and about an hour from the Chinos Basin where we started, with the town of Terlingua being about halfway between the two. The campsites were adequate and spacious. Very open and scenic (great sunrise!). They are all rock and gravel so bring thick sleeping pads. The picnic table is communal so also bring chairs if you want tonsit/eat near your tent. There are fire rings but rules say no campfires so idk how that works. No cover on the tent sites, which sit on top of a little canyon ridge, and we had 60+ mph winds our last night so that was rough, but that is the weather not the camp. Overall, it was fine for the price and I'm grateful we had another option since the campground at the park was full.

RV Site #2 with full hook ups; set up is perfect and easy. Campsite views are amazing. Away from the congestion of RV Parks. Away from highway noise, etc...All enjoyable. Great hiking and biking. Everything the region has to offer is very accessible. Brandon is a great host; friendly, informative, accommodating. Brandon's spot has become an annual must return visit for us. And thanks for the perfect weather this trip!

A great site, location and host!
We had a very good experience camping at Croesus Canyon, The views were gorgeous, and it was remote yet close to Terlingua and Big Bend National Park. Brandon was a great host. He sold us some delicious smoked brisket and turkey, with pulled pork available too. The site was alongside his camper, but we looked out on the mountains and had a huge area on that side, and full hookups were right there.

Beautiful views, and great bbq if you get the add on. It was quiet and peaceful. Great place if you like remoteness and want to get away from it all. Gorgeous sunsets and the stars are something else. The host was very helpful when needed. I’d go back there if I was visiting the state park or the west side of the national park.

Brandon is an amazing host. He was very calm and welcoming. He gave us a quick verbal tour of the property and amenities that the place has to offer. The tent site was clean and well maintained. I just wish the entrance road was built properly instead of gravel road the whole way

Beautiful location with easy access
Croesus Canyon was a wonderful place to stay for our Big Bend adventures. The camp has fantastic views including the Chisos mountains and also has an unhindered view of the dark starry night sky. Sunrise and sunset are both incredible here. The hosts are friendly and provided great advice and local knowledge. Our RV site (#2) backed up against the hosts‘ RV, but the hosts and the other campers were hardly seen or heard. It often felt like we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed the multiple friendly dogs that live on the property, but that might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Brandon allowed our dogs to have some off leash exercise too! The location was centrally located from everything we wanted to see: BBNP, BB Ranch State Park, Terlingua ghost town, and Black Jack’s Crossing at Lajitas Golf Resort.
