Great spot...bring a tough car
Gorgeous and quiet. Way out away from everything but within a 30 minute drive of many waterfall hikes and kayaking opportunities. I was there for a week and didn't have a chance to get to everything. 2nd nicest outhouse I've ever used, which is high praise...I've been in a bunch and one was just ridiculously fancy. Watch out for yellow jackets, they were everywhere, but we ignored each other and I had no trouble. Ideal location for solitary camping in November, but it is large enough for a group to be quite comfortable as well...even plenty of trees for multiple hammocks.

Perfect spot near Tallulah Gorge!
The road down to the site was a little rough but nothing our little car couldn't manage! David's land is very peaceful and secluded. We went in mid October and I swear the leaves in the trees changed colors while we were there! There was a disturbance the first night we were there, completely out of David's control and he took the time to apologize personally. He also made it a point to ride his bike down to camp when we arrived to welcome us and give us more information about the site. Theres a grill and a fire pit and a picnic table. We enjoyed cooking over the fire and having coffee at the table in the morning taking in the beautiful fall colors and cool morning air. We will definitely be coming back!

I have been to many places, this is one of the best. If you are looking for a place for pure relaxation and pleasure? This can be your first choice. I must add that David is an excellent artist and of course a very kind host. I am grateful to him and his girlfriend for bringing me so many good moments. And finally, their intelligent dogs will never be forgotten.

Beautiful secluded and private spot
The camping area is absolutely beautiful. A lovely flat clearing in the woods with lots of green ground cover. There are few rocks and not much dirt or mud in the area. Several good spots to pitch a tent. There is a small reservoir that turns into a creek that has a drain that makes some weird noises in the evening. It kept me and my camping partner awake for a while before we figured out what it was. Beware campers with low riding vehicles: the gravel path down to the site has a high bump before a steep drop. It bottomed out our vehicle every time we passed over it, but a vehicle properly fitted to outdoor activities shouldn’t have that issue. All in all, we would visit this site again when we’re looking for true seclusion and privacy.

It was a beautiful spot. I really appreciated the small touches of whimsy and all the hard work David has obviously been putting in to make it a nice camp spot. Was a tad worried that if there was rainy weather I wouldn’t be able to get back out of the area due to it being on a dirt road off a dirt road but I was able to get in and out easy enough in a Honda Civic and I enjoyed the site a lot and had a nice time there. Very secluded and private. David popped down to say Hi and was very responsive and helpful. He let me know he was nearby if I needed anything. Was a great spot close to so many outdoor activities! Parks, rivers, waterfalls, hiking - whatever you are looking to do, it’s nearby.

David's place is gorgeous and you can tell he is putting in the work to make it super welcoming. Unfortunately it was raining when we arrived so we didn't get to enjoy it in it's entirety but we would definitely come back again if the chance came up.
