Hoof Hearted Family Acres
We interpreted the advertising posted on your website as 5RV sites with 30 amp power. There were no RV sites and no power available. The bathrooms were very poor outhouses, at best. No washroom or wash up facilities. The location is a ways off the pavement, have to be prepared to drive gravel roads. Lastly there was no signage indicating that you arrived at the right place. Very weird. The host was a very nice man. I think he has something worthwhile there once he gets it properly established but it is not ready for campers yet.

The land was beautiful and the animals made it such a wonderful experience. The owner was accommodating and helpful. Definitely interested in staying again. Thank you so much Don for all your help and for being such a great host!

What a great property, it’s surrounded by trees, has a beautiful fire pit and lots of cool animals.
The four livestock dogs make you feel super protected and they’re total sweethearts otherwise.
The host was great and made sure we had everything we could need for our stay.
Will be coming back.

Wow! What a beautiful place Don & Veronica have! Firstly being greeted by the sweetest group of working pups is always the way to go!! (And belly rubs might be required)
Then there’s Frosty the Turkey who will check you out and make sure all is well, as well as goats, chickens, cats, alpacas, and a pig! It was so joyful being surrounded with the sweetest animals!
And I mean it when I say, Don & Veronica are the KINDEST hosts ever. We arrived under a tornado watch to stay in our tent, and instead Don & Veronica quickly set up other accommodations for us to keep us warm and safe, along with suppling ways to cook some food since a fire wasn’t going to happen in the rain.
To end it all waking up to insanely good fresh baked muffins- WOW.
If you have the chance to stay here it’s so so so highly recommended!!!

We had the best time hanging out with & getting to know the animals. Don is a very warm and welcoming host and really made us feel at home! My husband works away so it was me & 4kids under 10 in a tent, and we felt completely safe the whole time - the four sweetest Great Pyrenees made sure we did! It’s very relaxed, you set up where you like, which meant we could be right where the barn action was! We spent 3 nights there and the kids weren’t bored for a second, they’re hoping to go back next month - they rate Hoof Hearted Family Acres ‘10 out of 5 stars!!!’ lol

This place is simply amazing! The hosts are so welcoming and kind. They started a fire for us and made us feel right at home while giving us our distance and privacy at the same time. It is the perfect spot for any animal lover as you can lounge with the free range animals and give some of them all the pets they want. Great spot for kids too (if you have them). 10/10 would recommend!

We had a great time at Hoof Hearted Family Acres. Don and Victoria are amazing hosts and they made us feel very welcome. There are so many friendly animals wandering about and it was lovely meeting them. Don built a fire for us to use and provided enough firewood to keep it going for hours. It was a super relaxing time!

The highlight was Frosty the turkey. The host is very nice. The ground was level. There was no 30 amp to run the a/c and it was 92C inside our RV and no breeze. There was 15 amp but it would not support the a/c. There was a water hose back to the house so bring a long hose. There were lots of farm animals with chickens and goats walking right around your site. There was a fire pit with a gazebo. There were also 10 or 11 very friendly Great Pyrenees dogs. It was very quiet other than the roosters and one of the dogs. The only improvement would be to clean out the poop from the dog puppy pen, it was stinky. Thanks for the fresh chicken eggs!

Beautiful place, nice folks. However, one dog barked constantly for 2 hours before owners came home. Next morning one of their dogs pissed on my brand new tent. I tried to push him away when he lifted his leg but it was too late. Had to go to a laundromat to wash it.
Paid $25 cash for 1 night stay. Please refund for 2nd night because I did not stay.

We had a great stay at Don's farm. His animals are so lovely and friendly. Free farm eggs for breakfast are at very high quality. He and his wife are very helpful and welcome.

Had a great time at Don's place. Our two year old really enjoyed visiting the animals, and the open spaces. Lots of room to tent, a large well placed fire pit, fresh farm eggs, a truly nice experience. The four dogs are also very friendly and do a great job protecting the property. Presently surprised by how friendly the turkeys were.. who knew.
Don went above and beyond to help us out and explain history about the animals.

Hoof Hearted Family Acres
Don and Veronica are lovely and gracious hosts! It is a private sanctuary where you can hang out with all kinds of wonderful animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, llamas, cows, turkeys, turtles, goldfish, and a pig! When we had a bunch of rain that did not seem to ever stop, they offered us the use of their outbuilding as refuge from the rain. We had a lovely time!

We loved everything about the place. Don was fab. Super helpful and interesting. Made a giant fire for us on arrival. Loved all the animals. Follow GPS coordinates as the location is not so obvious. Thanks Don!

It’s a lovely spot to camp with all the animals around and just being in nature when being close to PA. Not far from Saskatoon either. Great escape to nature.
Don and Victoria are so welcoming and helpful and absolute pleasure.
Such a loving place with all varieties of animals. Great place also to be with kids!!

Nice location before we headed up North. We arrived late but it was very nice to come to a bonfire and stargazing was amazing. Don is very friendly and highly recommend his place :)

If you are an animal lover this is the place to stay. A great variety of animals that are friendly and gentle with the kiddos! We loved watching our boys make their rounds to say hello every morning, and to see the animals connect with them. Don and his wife are lovely hosts and go beyond to make you feel welcomed.
Thank you for such an amazing experience and some wonderful memories.
