Lovely spot right near the beach. Very quiet and peaceful. Can hear the waves ☺️ Cycle/walkway that goes along the coast is right out front. Highly recommend, and Karen is a fabulous host.

Large, peaceful camping site

We loved staying in Karen’s beautiful, peaceful land. It was close to the beach and had a lovely morning riding my bike to Mon Repos turtle centre along the bike track that ran alongside the ocean. We look forward to staying there again.

Big open grass paddock with clearly signed sites, right near the beach- lovely to hear the waves crashing while we slept!! Karen and her hubby were both friendly and helpful.

I had a nice conversation with Karen even though I got there late at night, she was still happy to have a chat. The property is pretty flat and grassy so off grid camping is perfect but I would say the best part is how close it is to the ocean. You cannot see it because of the large dune that barriers the wind but you can certainly hear the waves crashing.

Absolutely awesome quiet secluded site, close to beach and walking track. Nice sea breeze to keep you cool. Well maintained property close to Burnett river and Bagara. Stayed 2 nights and couldn't fault location. Host was very informative of local area.

We had a wonderful stay at Mon Repos Pines, peaceful and enjoyable. We were lucky enough to be able to see some loggerhead turtles attempting to lay their eggs on the nearby beach, what an experience!!. We will definitely be coming back again!!

Turtle watching was a bonus

This is an amazing Hipcamp, where Karen and her husband, were incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. The location is fantastic, just a short distance from Sharky Beach, where we were lucky enough to witness turtles coming up each evening. It was truly an incredible and unforgettable experience to watch. The camp itself was quiet and peaceful, with beautiful sea breezes that made it perfect for relaxing and unwinding. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a special coastal escape. Thank you, we will be back!

The host was very welcoming and gave us heads up for turtle watching. Beach and path close by was beautiful. When we had issues with our car the following day the host even graciously allowed us to check out late which saved us a lot of trouble. Would highly recommend!

Nice spread out sites near beach

Nice place very close to the beach. The four sites are spread out nicely. Had a short and quiet stay there. Be aware that the beach walk to the turtle center (if you plan to visit there) are closed 6pm to 6am during turtle season and you will have to drive your way over there for the night Explorer tour.

An excellent spot to spend a few days, Mon Repos Pines is perfectly placed to explore the area. The 4 sites are all situated along the southern fence line of a large field adjacent to the owners’ property, very quiet and just a few steps from the walk/cycle track which follows the coastline from Burnett Heads in the north to just beyond Bargara in the south. The beach close by is virtually covered by black rocks but there is a sandy strip which can be used to access the water when the tide is low (high tide covers this strip). The 4 sites are spaced out next to each other but there is not a lot of room in between each site so when they are all occupied everyone could be quite close. They only take up a small length of the fence line so it would be great if there could be more space between sites, but maybe the council does not allow this. Site 1 is nearest the pathway but is not quite as level as the other sites. We would certainly recommend this camp site to other travellers.

Great location, walking distance to Mon Repo Turtle centre and a healthy walk to Burnett Heads. Great advice from Karen for places to eat. The Windmill & Kelly's by the Sea both fab. Lovely large grased area right on the ocean. Peaceful close to Bundaberg too. We will definitely stay again. Thanks Karen

Beautiful getaway by the sea

Our family loved our four nights at this campsite. We were on site 1 and were on our own for the duration of our stay. The location is amazing; literally a 30m walk to the public footpath, and a few metres further to the ocean. There's a great sandy beach around 100m walk away, which is perfect for a high tide swim. The site itself is grassy and totally open, which is great for solar and gave the kids somewhere to safely run around. Karen was very friendly and greeted us on the afternoon we arrived, explaining some of the local attractions. We would definitely stay again when we are next in the area.

Magnificent Mon Repos Pines.

We had the most amazing stay at Mon Repos Pines!!! Lovely flat grassy camp site within walking distance to shops cafes and beaches. The hosts were amazing and made us feel very welcome. I definitely recommend staying here to enjoy the relaxing area. We will definitely be coming back here agian!!

Very well kept flat grassy site, all sites are numbered, site 1 is closest to the beach and public walking track and site 4 is the furtherest away. Nice and quiet spot, great basecamp for exploring the area.

This spot was close to the beach and close to Mon Repo turtle place but it wasn't for us. There were no signs guiding us to our camp area. It felt like we were driving across someone's front yard, as the owners house is close by and they can see the camp site from their house. So to improve, I would recommend signals giving direction as well as a sign on the front fence so campers know they are in the right place. Not sure what could be done about the privacy issue. I did receive a quick response from the owner and she was friendly.

We loved our stay at Mon Repo Pines. The property is very well kept and directions there were easy to follow. We felt very comfortable there and safe to leave the van to go site seeing. It is right across from the beach and the bike/walking track. To be able to take a beautiful ride from our campsite to Burnett Heads town one way and Bargara the other was the highlight for us. Many thanks to the hosts, we’ll be back for sure!

Great spot right next to the ocean in a lovely open and level site. Loved the walking / bike path right at your front door. Short trip to Burnett Heads, Mon Repos Turtle Centre and Bargara village. Would highly recommend!
