The Strawbale Cabin is $100 per night: it’s a cozy, off-grid retreat featuring a woodstove, propane range (propane provided), and wraparound porch with a beautiful view. Rainwater is collected off the roof (non-potable), and there’s a nearby outhouse. The cabin has no electricity or running water, and is best suited to a single person or a couple looking to unplug and slow down. The cabin is located on an active ecological farm, home to chickens, sheep, and seasonal maple syrup production. You’ll have your own private fire pit and wooded trails right next to the cabin for peaceful walks and quiet reflection. Gravel biking is popular along Shouldice, the country road we’re on, and the charming town of Wakefield is just a 10-minute drive away for shops, cafes, and river views. This is a place for nature lovers, quiet seekers, and those looking to rest or create.
