Our secluded haven features thoughtfully designed off-grid micro-cabins, a cozy yurt, and rustic camping sites, all nestled among pristine forests and private lakes. Perfect for nature lovers, adventure seekers, or anyone longing to unwind, Lièvre Rouge offers the perfect setting to disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with nature. Wander our scenic trails, paddle tranquil waters, or simply relax by a warm fire. Every moment here is crafted to help you Get Back to Nature. Beautiful and secluded camp site for one group, with two 10 tent platforms, on a very private lake. The platforms measure approximately 10X10 ft. This campsite is considered a backcountry site meaning that it is not accessible by car. A 20 to 30 minute hike into the forest on a very rustic trail with some small obstacles to navigate is to be expected. All of your gear will need to be carried to the site by backpack. A luggage shuttle is available to hire on site at a cost of $25.00 and includes bringing equipment to the site on the day of the check-in, as well as a pick-up on the day of departure. At the site, guests will find a picnic table, a fire pit, a bench by the fire pit, 2 kayaks, and a bug shelter. The rental fee includes access to the Lievre Rouge trails, access to 2 lakes, the use of the available canoes and kayaks, as well as an access to the Guest Lodge where showers are located. However, some additional fees are to be expected upon check-in such as dog fees ($20.00 per day) and taxes. Please note that our calendar on HipCamp does not get updated. For an up to date availability calendar, please consult our website which can be found under Lièvre Rouge in the municipality of Lac Saguay in the Laurentians.

Escape to the serene beauty of the Upper Laurentians with a stay in our cozy Yurt at the Lievre Rouge nature retreat. Nature and Adventure lovers will appreciate the easy 15 minute hike it takes to reach the yurt from the guest lodge & parking area. This Yurt has a bunk bed with very comfy mattresses as well as a sofa-bed making it a good option for 4 people. A kichenette with a propane cooktop will make it easy to prep basic meals. The Yurt is also equipped with some battery lighting and a wood stove to keep you warm during colder nights. Our newly built patio, overlooing a little valley is where you will want to hang out and have your morning coffee, or later at night to watch the stars. An outhouse is located close to the yurt. The newly built guest lodge is where you will find the bathrooms and showers as well as our Coffee and Bar area offering a nice selection of imported natural wines, micro-brewry beers and fair trade coffee. Je suis récemment allé dans ce camping et j’ai adoré l’endroit ! C’était paisible, avec une beauté naturelle incroyable. Les hôtes étaient chaleureux et très accueillants, ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Mon chien s’est tellement plu qu’il ne voulait plus repartir ! Si vous cherchez un endroit tranquille et accueillant pour passer un bon moment, je vous le recommande fortement !

The Yurt
We had a fantastic welcome at the site. The yurt was amazing -very spacious with all the amenities you need. Access to the lake is super easy. We went in summer so be prepared for the bugs. There is netting around the deck so you can eat and relax in peace.

Un chalet dans un cadre incroyable.
La Cabine des Pins/ The Pine Cabin
Notre week-end au chalet de Mathieu était incroyable ! Le cadre, le lac, la vue, les sorties canoë… tout était parfait. Mathieu a été très accueillant et arrangeant et le chalet comporte tout le nécessaire et plus encore ! On recherchait un chalet typique du Canada comme on le rêvait, on l’a trouvé. Encore merci !

La Cabine des Pins/ The Pine Cabin
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. The host was very friendly and hospitable. We had a fun time taking the canoe for a ride and enjoyed the beautiful view of the trees and the water while we had our breakfast outside. A couple of downsides were that there were lots of flies in the area. Also, the lake did not look very swimmable. Otherwise, the cabin was rustic and cozy and overall we had a great stay here.
