Domaine de la Templerie

We love camping and dining at Domaine de la Templerie! Warm, friendly guests, a beautiful restaurant with gorgeous gardens and delicious food and a terrific farm. The campsite is nice and shady and well appointed with water, electricity and firewood. It’s our second year there and will make it an annual tradition.

We had a wonderful time on the farm. Beautiful land, site was as described. Owner made sure we knew where everything was. We had a lovely farm to table dinner while staying there. It was a memorable experience. If you are in the area and have a chance to eat there, you should, all 7 courses were amazing!

Rustic with electrical and water

The camping spaces are tight (we have a 28' travel trailer pulled by an F150, so 61' overall), so getting in was a bit of a challenge for someone new at RVing as ourselves, however we managed, and had a restful sleep. Being heavily treed also meant a lot of mosquitoes, but then this year (2026) that seems to be an issue everywhere. The property is nice, plenty of farm animals, and would be an ideal place to hold a wedding, I would think. The fact that we had both 30A and water hookup was ideal (they also provided firewood). If you want something slightly rustic with still some essential conveniences, I would certainly recommend this site. The surrounding countryside is also lovely, and the town of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield (17 km) has quite an assortment of architectural styles to delight.

We arrived very late at night and appreciated being welcomed by one of the staff who oriented us to the bathroom location at the house and gave helpful directions for getting back to the main highway as we were continuing our journey early the next morning and I couldn’t get cell reception. We were tenting. If you are looking for privacy, this is not the campground for you. It would be helpful to have a porta potty in the camping area. Otherwise, it was quiet and comfortable. It really depends what one is looking for.

Beau site, très tranquille. Les sites de camping sont proche un de l’autre, mais comme nous étions seuls lors de notre séjour, ce ne fut pas un problème. La toilette est loin du site de camping, mais c’est propre. Bois de feu de camp a volonté. Le site du camping est quand même un milieu plutôt humide, donc beaucoup d’insectes et de moustiques. Merci aux hôtes !

Excellent camp site

The camping spot is surrounded by trees and has water + electricity (30 Amps). The host's were very friendly and we got to see the farm animals. We recommend this campsite!

We had a great time camping on Cynthia’s land! She was very accommodating and kind. Electricity, water and firewood was available at the site. Although we loved the campsite, we were a party of 5 and each site is narrow with the next site right beside, thankfully there were no other campers in the site next to us because we wouldn’t have had enough space if there were. For a party of 2, or maybe even 4, the spot would be perfect! Or if you were fortunate like us to have an empty site beside yours. There were, however, other campers 2 lots over and they were playing music, as were we, and we didn’t interfere with each other. That is to say, noise traveling is not an issue and campers can be comfortable in their site without bothering others. Thank you for having us, we would definitely come back!

Very nice site. I was a Sunday night I was there so there was only one other camper. I think if it was full it would have felt too crowded but my experience was very quiet and relaxing. Site was surrounded by beautiful trees and fields and it was the perfect time to see all the fall leaves.

Wonderful spot to stay for the night or even a few days. Power and water were nice to have. Good supply of firewood and nice sites. Next time we will be sure to book in for dinner. We loved the peace and quiet. Cynthia was very responsive and helpful.

It's a nice site with lots of trees around. The site is narrow & long. Campsites are close to each other & people can see all other campsites. Firewood is free. We also ate at the restaurant there, Domaine de la Templerie. It's a farm to table restaurant & we enjoyed seven delicious courses. Loved our stay there.

Wonderful experience

The campsite was nice, the free firewood was dry, which made it very easy to light a fire. The farm was cute, with horses, geese, ducks, and boar. However, the highlight was the meal we ordered. Because of my physical limitations and our dog, they delivered a full seven course meal to our campground over the course of about 2 1/2 hours. It was delicious. The combination of a meal at the campground with our fire was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended to anyone!

Quiet rural spot. The 19th-century farmhouse and farm animals (including wild boar) and long tree-lined avenue make it much more interesting than the average campground. No showers but that was explained clearly before booking.

Camping with fireflies

Cynthia and her family have a lovely farm with many types of animals. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and happy to be of assistance. I was encouraged to take from the stacks of firewood and it was nice to have that experience as the fireflies danced in the woods.

Fantastic rustic restaurant.

We had the whole camp site to ourselves. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and especially loved the restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and really interesting. It was a great experience. Cynthia and her family were charming and very welcoming. We enjoyed the fireflies i the evening and the squirrels and the farm.

The directions to her place were clear, nice little farm in the back as well! Horses, pigs, ducks… There’s also an indoor bathroom which was great in our case as it rained a loooot! We were able to warm up inside for a few minutes:) Bathroom is a 2 minutes walk from the campsite. When booking, I thought we would have a lot more privacy than this so I was a little surprised when we arrived. We had to leave early because it rained too much for our tents but our dog had a lot of fun meeting the animals haha!

Camping with doggies!

We are return campers and we will be back next season. Hard to beat amenities - access to water and electricity without being attached to someone’s house or sitting in a driveway! Great views over the farmer fields and surrounded by natures colors. Perfect quiet thanksgivings weekend.
