Great spot. The platform has a great view of the water but further back you are well sheltered. Brien is a great host.

The Cattails - On The Ottawa River
Perfect getaway to hit the paddle for one night. Brian was very responsive and we were able to make this last minute outing work out! Second time there didn't disappoint!

There was no one there but us so it was private and quiet. The lake was only about 30 seconds from the site and it was swimmable. There was also an area to put in a kayak or other type of non-motorized boat. The campsite was rustic but clean.

The Maple Loop
We had a wonderful weekend at this peaceful and well-maintained site. The welcome was warm, and the host was very accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The place is beautiful—perfect for recharging. We love photography, and this location offered great opportunities to capture nature’s beauty.
An experience we definitely recommend to anyone looking for peace, simplicity, and a touch of nature. Many thanks to our host!

My girlfriend and I loved our stay on Brien’s land. In early July we stayed at the cattails site right next to the water where we were welcomed by a choir of peepers.
I would highly recommend renting a kayak and consulting Brien on good places to go, there’s a part of the river that breaks off and the current is so strong it’s like a lazy river where you can just relax as the current takes you right back to the camp.
The firewood provided is also great. At our site we could use the cattails as a fire starter and it didn’t take long for the firewood to catch after that.
Overall amazing stay, just be mindful of the poison ivy and prepare to see some spiders.
We will definitely be coming back!!!

My two-night stay at Brian’s property was absolutely incredible! As my first time camping alone, I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming and supportive host. Brian and his lovely family (his wife and kids) were so kind and made me feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience possible.
Brian gave me a free tour of the property, showing me different plants, sharing his future projects, and even offering helpful tips. The care he puts into maintaining the land is evident everywhere. When I mentioned I might rent a kayak but later changed my mind, he generously let me use one for free—just one example of how thoughtful he is!
The campsite itself was perfect—spacious, well-equipped (with a table, fire pit, wood, and parking), and each spot had a private, breathtaking view of the Ottawa River. Waking up to sunrise and falling asleep to sunset here was pure magic. There’s even a peaceful waterfall nearby, perfect for relaxing and listening to the soothing sounds of nature. The bathroom was clean and well-kept, which was a great bonus.
Honestly, part of me wants to keep this place a secret so I can always have a spot to return to—because I *will* be back! If you’re looking for a serene, beautiful, and welcoming camping experience, Brian’s property is the place to be. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure!"

Brien was very welcoming and kindly showed us around the property. We enjoyed our stay and especially loved the communal area with the bbq, fire pit & view! Upon arrival, we decided to switch camp sites from the cattails to the riverside and Brien was quick with responding and made the transaction very smooth & easy!

Amazing place to stay near Montreal. The river view spot is just wow. The campground feels isolated from the rest of the houses around. Be aware that you can hear cars from the bridge nearby but it’s not bad.
Owner passed by and is super nice.

The River Side- On The Ottawa River
The pictures don't really capture how beautiful this campsite is! Brien is also around to answer any questions, which is nice. Don't miss the sunset or sunrise over the river. You really can't go wrong. There's also a fire pit to use though we didn't. Also close by any stores if you need anything. It was the highlight of our vacation.

Nice private place to camp. Only three campsites on the property. Everything you will need from voting equipment to firewood. To an interesting outhouse.
The owner is fantastic respectful and seems like it all out. Genuinely nice human being.
I'd recommend this campsite to anybody.

The Maple Loop
What a lovely little spot! Well treed and right beside the river. Very well kept. Thoughtfully placed little decks riverside to sit and enjoy the view. Clean composting toilet. Some traffic noise from nearby interprovincial bridge and Hawksbury lights across the river, but neither too invasive. We appreciated that Brien’s camp was open later in the season. We had a quiet and enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend camping trip.

We came once, came again, and loved it so much we booked again! Nothing but good things to say. The only improvement would be adding amenities like water and electricity, but if you did, I just might not want to leave!

Stayed 3 nights on maple loop and had a wonderful time. Our host was more than helpful and pleasant to deal with. Gave us a very warm welcome and took the time to show us all his favorite spots on site. One of the nights it was going to rain and our host made sure we were well taken care of before heading out. If your looking for a family style camping experience then this is the right place. From all the cool things to rent and to just being able to sit by the water and swim. With all the sites being close but far enough you can enjoy your own time. We definitely will be renting this spot yearly and make this our tradition.
