Come and enjoy a traditional, rustic camping experience on the mighty Ottawa River! Bring your water shoes and a canoe or kayak (or you may rent one of ours) for an unforgettable adventure. Located on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River, east of the bridge that passes over from Hawkesbury, Ontario, this beautiful (mostly) deciduous forest is situated on both sides of the 344/Rte Des Outaouais. The 59 acre property (50 acres on land, ~9 acres of river/water) features scenic views, privacy and is host to many outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and more. The Point... The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. Adventurous visitors might choose to paddle upriver, around an island, and return through the remaining historic canal. For a more strenuous workout, consider paddling up the canal to the Grenville lighthouse and then drifting all the way back to camp with the river's current. Enjoy this historic, lazy river experience! Nearby Amenities... Numerous amenities are located within a distance of 1-3 kms, including a gas station with electric vehicle charging facilities, an IGA grocery store, and various restaurants such as McDonald's and Tim Horton's. For a classic poutine experience, Jos Patate is a great choice, having been around for many decades. If you're looking for a wide range of poutine options, La Fromagerie is the place to go and for ice cream lovers, La Crémière is located in the same building! ...It is a "must-visit" on a hot summer day. Tourism... Numerous tourist attractions are conveniently located in the vicinity, such as the exhilarating white water rafting experience on the Rouge River and the wildlife-filled Parc Omega zoo, both within a short 10-25 km distance. For a wider range of activities, day trips to Ottawa, Montreal, the Calypso water park, or Mont Tremblant are all approximately an hour's drive away.

This perfect tenting campsite is airy but also shady, it is comfortable all day long and is my family's favorite spot to tent camp. The site stretches to the water's edge with a beautiful unobstructed view of the Ottawa river and features your own private deck with a couple of Muskoka chairs. The deck can also serve as a river-side tent platform, otherwise, your tent/s will be located a short distance from the shoreline, nestled among mature maples and oak trees. This site features a picnic table, fire-pit with a stainless steel grill for cooking on, and the parking is a very short walk away (~50 feet). The site is ideal for 1 or 2 tents but there is also additional space at the entrance to the campsite in the parking area should it be needed. *Note* This site is not ideal for rooftop or car-tents as they would have to be setup in the parking area, not in the actual campsite.

By removing a dense patch of invasive Buck-thorn bushes, we were left with this beautiful, large sunny campsite along the shoreline. It is great for car-camping, tenting or small RVs. A distinguishing feature of this site is that it is possible to launch your own kayaks or canoe, directly from this campsite and the Cattails (bulrush) provide privacy while sitting at camp and still allow beautiful views of the bay and river.

This large comfortable site has you surrounded by maple and oak trees which provide a nice sun/shade mix throughout the day. The Ottawa river is a very short distance away (~100') and there is a pathway from the site, leading to the water's edge and a private 10 x 10 wooden deck. Stress-free is the goal with this campsite, it is essentially a huge pull-through campsite, as it is located along a loop ("The Maple Loop"), which brings you back onto the main laneway.

Brien is a great host who helped us rake the leaves for our fire! The site has a beautiful view and he was very helpful with telling us where the bathroom was. It’s a really great first experience which is beginner friendly! Would definitely come back

Lovely, quiet, and clean environment! Very friendly host who greeted us after checking in and also we had a nice conversation while checking out. Absolutely recommended! Just pay attention for the available amenities to make sure you have everything you need.

I had another wonderful time at Brian’s campground! This was my second visit, and the experience was even better than the first. Brian has made some great upgrades he’s added free hammocks at all the campsites and built new docks, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The improvements really show how much he cares about creating a great experience for his guests I’ll definitely be coming back again!

This is a really sweet campsite. I had a wonderful stay. The site is on the river and very private, and a short walk away is a beautiful platform deck right on the water. Peaceful and relaxing, with a kind and accommodating host!

Perfect camp site riverside. One of the best campsites I’ve stayed at. It even came with a hammock! The deck where I pitched my tent was right on the water. Loved listening to the river. And though there are a few other campsites around, everything felt very private. Also Brian could not have been more accommodating. I was starting a three-week camping trip, and this was my first stop. Would have loved to stay the next day and swim in the river, but the weather turned to rain, so I headed out. I also appreciated how prompt Brian was at answering my messages/questions. Great spot!

We booked both the River View and Cattails site for us and friends. It is quiet as the neighbors are far enough away so they are not disturbing you and vice versa and you are right on the river. Brien was responsive ahead of the booking answering our questions and came around to make sure we were satisified with our sites (which we absolutely were) . You are also literally a minute from civilization so you don't have to worry about forgetting anything and having to go into town. We may have to make this an annual spot!!

Le site Maple Loop est vraiment très beau, on a accès à une terrasse sur le bord de la rivière des Outaouais! Tranquille et paisible. Très intéressant pour ceux qui aiment « chiller » près de l’eau. Par contre, ma copine et moi sommes des randonneurs et n’avons rien trouvé d’activités de plein-air à faire dans les environs. Ce site n’est pas pour des gens comme nous (avis aux autres randonneurs).

Our first time using Hipcamp, and was incredibly surprised! Amazing camp site, with even better views from the Ottawa river, Paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks are also readily available and would highly recommend because the water is great. Super nice host, incredible time overall. 10/10 would reccomend

Deuxième fois que nous passons quelques jours là et toujours aussi merveilleux. Lieu paisible. Le propriétaire est attentionné. Nous y retournerons encore bientôt. Les animaux sont acceptés ce qui est un plus pour nous.

The Maple Loop
My husband, myself and two small dogs stayed the night in our roof top tent at the Maple Loop site. The area is beautiful and perfect for camping. The small private deck by the river was nice for drinks in the evening and coffee in the morning. Our host was very friendly and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!

Brian is a really nice person who takes care of his land and camping sites. The site is 2 minutes away by car from the village and you might say it would not be wild or intimate enough, but on the contrary it manages to be somehow a hidden place. Other than the fact that just across the river there is the village (with the lights is hard to see the stars, for example) and there are many motor boats going by, the water looks clean and because is not very deep, it keeps a nice temperature. Brian recommended us to go up the river against the current (beware, its a bit of an exercise) and then take a small canal that brings you back with no effort. Soo worth it! 30 minutes of just letting you slide on the water. Overall is was a nice stay, confortable and relaxing!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre court séjour à la propriété de Brien. Nous avons été très bien accueilli. Le site est grand et facile d’accès. L’accès à l’eau est un point fort. Il y a également une bonne distance avec le terrain voisin.

Perfect getaway to hit the paddle for one night. Brian was very responsive and we were able to make this last minute outing work out! Second time there didn't disappoint!

There was no one there but us so it was private and quiet. The lake was only about 30 seconds from the site and it was swimmable. There was also an area to put in a kayak or other type of non-motorized boat. The campsite was rustic but clean.

We had a wonderful weekend at this peaceful and well-maintained site. The welcome was warm, and the host was very accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The place is beautiful—perfect for recharging. We love photography, and this location offered great opportunities to capture nature’s beauty.
