Really lovely cabin. It felt like I had a private forest to myself. The hosts were very accommodating and made sure I had more than enough water and firewood for my stay. While drive up is possible, the rain had made the road unusable for my vehicle and I had to carry in my belongings, but it wasn't too far of a trek from the parking to the cabin, and even with two bags and a cooler, I didn't have much trouble.
The cabin is beautifully rustic and was very cozy. Cooking station is outside and outfitted with a camp stove, a grill for the firepit and a small collection of cooking pans/utensils. I mainly did my cooking over the fire. Another thing of note is that the property has the cleanest outhouse I've ever seen in my life.
There is also an outdoor enclosed shower that I didn't make much use of, but was very appreciated. The surrounding area is also really enjoyable to drive through. I had a great time in Ormstown, and I was even able to hit up a local public beach in Saint Anicet.
My favourite part of the trip was stepping out after the sun has gone down and seeing all the fireflies light up the forest. It was one of the nicest experiences I've had and a great solo trip for anyone looking for a quiet, private place to relax.
