We had a great stay and the facilities and campsites were very clean. A minor inconvenience was that the toilet paper ran out in both washrooms, and we restocked it ourselves from one of the supply rooms at the washroom building. There was also a group of campers with an RV that had a campfire and there was a fire ban on. It would be nice to see someone do a patrol of the campground at least once in the evening during fire bans to make sure no one is breaking the ban and putting the site and surrounding community at risk. Lastly, if there is a way to make the lights on the washroom building motion sensor activated, or have fewer lights on, that would make sleeping at the sites across from it much better.
Overall, I would recommend this campground to others in the future. It was great to look at the stars at the beach at night, and if it was less windy we would have paddled around the area too during the day.

Tent sight was great, could use a couple more trees and shrubs in between. Bathrooms were lovely and always clean and the beach was gorgeous!

Great, quiet small campground. Bring a 30 A plug for the electric or borrow one from the front office. Great pool area.
Staff provided a map of local highlights in the Gerogetown area.
Very clean newish shower building with large stalls and very hot water.

We absolutely loved camping at Summer Winds with our tent trailer! The beach and the pool were great and clean, as well as exceptionally clean spacious bathrooms. We were greeted on arrival with a friendly welcome who answered all our questions. Such a lovely calm atmosphere, we will surely be back next year.

Wonderful spot to camp, grass/soft ground was really nice for tenting. Inground pool was very clean, kids loved it. Location was quiet, great shower and washroom facilities. Very close to many amazing beaches and not far from Charlottetown which is a fantastic city.

had a fantastic stay at this campground in PEI! The facilities were exceptionally clean, and site #10 was in the perfect location—just the right distance from the pool and directly across from the washrooms. Cora and David were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made our stay even better. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our time here, but other reviews had set our expectations quite high so I’m being honest.
The beach access was unmarked, so we went in circles trying to find our way as it looked like someone’s personal cottage and private property.
There was a fire ban unfortunately, which was no fault of their own but did dampen our experience a little unfortunately. Also we were under the impression that electricity was going to be available, but it was for an RV and not useful to tenters.
Showers/washrooms were beautiful, but ended up waiting a while to get in at times as unfortunately there were only 2 that we could locate.
The positives were it was a nice clean campground. The pool looked awesome, beach access was a nice space, and it was family friendly. All in all it was a nice place.

Summer Winds was a well laid out campground with lots of exploring allowed at both the property and area. Located about 40 minutes from Charlottetown made a fun afternoon trip. Our kids loved the fact that our spot (#19) was facing the playground and the saltwater pool was a huge hit. Washroom and showers were kept clean and comfortable— the water was hot! Everyone we spoke to was friendly and inviting making it a spot we will have to return to one day. Thanks for hosting!

Nothing really that the host could have done but we were surrounded by rowdy neighbours drinking until past 1am.
Otherwise, site was decent, not very secluded however. Bathroom were great.

Loved our tent camping experience at Summer Winds, great showers and bathrooms, easily accessible logs for campfires. Owners were great even when we checked in at 8pm after the office closed, they got back to me quick over messaging and even sent a picture of the map for the campground! Beautiful spot-can’t wait to come back next year!

Beautiful, well-maintained and well-equipped campground with decently sized sites. The adjacent beach is very easily accessible, and we had a lot of fun exploring it! We also appreciated the cleanliness, modernity and privacy of the individual washroom/shower booths, the salt water pool and the pond with the pedal boat.

The bathrooms were new and clean! The campground was nice and we were able to get questions answered and information as we asked. I do wish there was more restrooms on nights the campground was full, but the quality of the restrooms were great. A wash sink with warm water for dishes would be helpful, but overall a wonderful stay and we will recommend to others we know traveling!

We had a wonderful stay at this campground. The bathrooms were clean and private, and we really appreciated how easy it was to get firewood — always stocked and easy emt for a bin full. The pool was perfect for the kids to cool off and burn off some energy.
The only downside? The mosquitos were so hungry they probably should’ve paid for a site too! Lol!

My wife and I truly enjoyed our 5-night stay at Summer Winds from the moment we arrived. When we arrived at Summer Winds, we were met by David & Cora right away who directed us to our booked site, asked us if needed any firewood and directed us to the beach. They pretty much leave you alone to enjoy yourselves, but if you have any questions, all of the staff are very friendly and quick to help. We'll definitely be returning for another stay. Summer Winds is also a pet-friendly campground; just keep your dog on a leash. Our little dog is Blind and deaf and doesn't leave our side, so nobody bothered us about a leash, which we appreciated.

I absolutely loved this campground and the entire Georgetown area. Beautifully maintained campsites, clean bathrooms, pool, and water access. If it had had a laundromat, I would have stayed longer. I’ll definitely come back.

Campground was well maintained and very quiet. I love the fire pits as well. I was a bit disappointed when I texted and called the phone number on the pamphlet to ask for fire wood and to use the paddle boat but they did not respond before they closed and there was nobody in the front office both times I walked up there but I went to Irving and bought wood instead. The pool was nice and the shower was fantastic. A quiet and friendly place.
