Covered Camping on 1462 Acres #2
Regenerative Farm! 💗
Loved camping at this regenerative farm!! They are doing all kinds of regenerative practices, and are tending a variety of farm animals and veggies!! Would definitely love to come back and support what they are doing in any way I can..! 🌻

Covered Camping on 1462 Acres #2
Rural romp - animals & stars abound
Looks as though there's a lot of projects underway at this regenerative farm! Hosts were welcoming, despite being somewhat surprised we were coming, and were very helpful in getting us oriented. We had a lovely spot near the barn, with plenty of room to set up our two tents, make dinner under cover of the shed and ample view of the night's glorious sky. Goats, chickens and kittens abound but weren't troublesome at all. We walked to the top of the hill for epic sunset views, kids explored the barn loft and we really appreciated the unique spot to reside for a night!

Big skies & the “backside” of hood
The site was precisely as described. Beautiful views. Never met the host which was perfectly fine as there were no issues to speak of. Being anxious when GPS instructions don’t match up with written instructions seems to be a thing for me lately. =O/ The host made a point of saying that the addresses were irregular in the area, by way of warning. Note: you will travel a mile or more on gravel road before making the right turn into their driveway. Good times. 😄

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful
We tent-camped at this beautiful place and got exactly what we wanted, fantastic views at a quiet and peaceful place. Deer, birds, pond. Great host, gave us multiple options. We camped pretty far from facilities so had to drive to the bathroom, but that was our choice and we were glad to have peace and quiet. We will be back! to this fabulous place.

Farm camping
Great spot to escape the city and camp with some amenities. Bring ear plugs if you're not used to chickens. We quite enjoyed them, but we also get up early naturally. It's fun to explore some of the grounds, not quite as private as we were hoping but still it felt like we were away from people.

Had a nice camp spot on a comfy grass pad next to a covered picnic table among the chickens and goats. Owls hooting early in the morning and lively turkeys on the forests edge at dawn. We bought a dozen farm fresh eggs and cooked them up in the morning. Delicious! I wish we had time to walk through the oak woodlands. Beautiful spot and gracious hosts. :-)

Gorgeous views and peaceful wide open spaces with lots of pretty birdsong. We were up on the hilltop where it was a little windy in the evening, but totally worth it, especially for the calm sunny morning. Hope to visit again

Great farm to camp out on in Dufur
Had an awesome stay at the Carbon Farm Yard. Sean was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. Great private area to park our van for a few nights, and the views and property were as advertised. Would definitely stay there again.

Great host. Peaceful spot.
The owner was so welcoming and offered different location options for me to camp in. I opted to be close to the barn so I could exit early in the morning. But I walked out on the property and saw some other more private spots.... nice. If you camp by the barn, don’t be surprised when lots of bats fly out at sunset. They didn’t bother me at all. Carbon Farm had all I needed for a spacious overnight camping spot, and a sense of safety as I am a female tent camping solo.

We had a great stay on this beautiful farm. Lots of farm animals including a milk cow and wild turkeys, quail, bunnies, etc. The hosts were very accommodating and gave us choices of places to camp on the property. We were able to move a picnic table near our site to facilitate dinner and a rousing game of cards (Dutch Blitz) that evening.

Such a great place to stay! We had originally booked another hipcamp in the area and were unable to contact the hosts and had to find somewhere else. I booked here at about 9:30 pm and Matt and Rachel were SO accommodating of the last minute request. Rachel gave us wonderful directions to the site and stayed on the phone with us to help us get there. The views in the morning were incredible. Absolutely would recommend to anyone that they stay here and hope we get to stay again!

Don’t miss this property!
I was honored to be the first Hipcamper to stay at this gorgeous property. I arrived after dark and was met personally by one of the owners and guided to a spot. As it was forecasted to rain they thoughtfully placed me by a big barn in case I wanted to camp inside. The property was quiet and dark at night without any traffic noise. There was a port-a-potty to use which was very handy. In the morning there were people working around the place but this is to be expected when you stay at a working ranch. Another owner came by in the morning to show me a scenic drive on the property on a map. I did decide to make my coffee and do the loop. It was a bit too cloudy that morning to see all the mountains but it was still lovely. While camping I saw some elk grazing in a pasture and heard owls and coyotes as well. I would definitely return here as the owners were so gracious and welcoming!
