NEW! CAMP ASHLAND- Elevation 5,436'
Mount Ashland base camp deluxe
This is a totally great spot to make a base camp for mount Ashland adventures! The camp itself is well off the road (I.e., nice and quiet) and has great views of my Shasta and the valley to the south. The shower works great, and it makes for an excellent addition after a day of hiking or mountain biking or whatever! Accessible in a passenger car, but the road is a bit slow going to get in. Would definitely go back!

Imagine you're on the PCT... hot, dirty, loving life but tired of squatting, tired of jumping in streams or heating up a bladder full and letting it try to dribble off soap while you freeze in the breeze. Now imagine arriving at a spot with a clean Port-a-Potty and a hot shower open only to the forest, the sky and Gaia: that's Camp Ashland. Its only five spots (for now) and my wife and I weren't hiking, we were in a little Four Wheel Camper but the site was still magical. It's small, the road in is rough (thank God) and it's remote but oh, so worth it. Great job whoever you are. You've given a gift to those of us who wander but are not lost.

Camping in the wild with hot shower
I believe that we were the first guests there, however, it felt like everything was in place and well set up. The place is totally out of the way with a 6 min drive down a dirt road. The hot shower and solar lights were a welcome addition and the host was beyond nice. Great place for anyone truly wanting to be doing wild camping. Loved it and hope to return soon.

Beautiful and peaceful
A beautiful and peaceful camping spot among the trees on Mt. Ashland. The amenities including shower, toilet, sink, and soft lights at night add convenience and comfort. We hiked down the road where there is a pure stream of water coming down the mountain (take a left at the fork, 10-12 min hike).
