Site 4 - The Ranch
Don’s place is a private little oasis. - a world apart from the busy sometimes congested RV camps. You’ll find lots of space, greenery, a rolling meadow, quaint beach with shallow warm water, fire pits, wood delivered to your spot, well kept grounds, quiet atmosphere and best of all a welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable host. I’m a new Rv owner and travelling as a single female. The RV seemed to be overheating, and as I stood there on my phone with the hood up in a little panic Don and his longtime friend and coworker Dave appeared out of nowhere. He explained the issue and even how to fix it crawling right under the rig to show me. Notably, I felt very safe at “The Ranch”. Very impressed with the quality of this place and its host. A gem off the beaten path.

Site four has a great view of the lake along with power. We had pleasant and relaxing 3 days on site. We were lucky the fire ban was off during our stay so we enjoyed a couple of fires. Our host Don was great and met us when we arrived. He allowed us to fill our trailer with water so, we didn't have to haul the water to the site. This site does require some leveling if your staying in a trailer, we would recommend that you bring some blocking. Overall great experience Thx Don!

Site 4 was a beautiful location and a great place for fishing/paddling. Weather was beautiful. Don went above and beyond- very solicitous, checking in, offering firewood. Perfect stay!

Excelent property. Well taken care of with some beach front views. Beach is fine sand and grass lots of open lawn area. The dogs loved it with the property being welcoming of off leash for dogs that behave. Don and his family and neighbours are genuine and welcoming. We had a great deal of help from Don while stuck in a muddy area with the wrong tires. We found Don to be quite knowledgeable about the RV life experience and the pride in his property shows. We would like to come back at the end of the season if we pass back through. I would highly recommend this property

This camping is amazing! Don is so super kindness and helpful! He guided me how to park into the site, level the car and bring firewood, wifi… definitely recommended to everyone!!!

My recent stays at Don's place were quiet and peaceful. There was power to my site and water available from a hose at the main house. I enjoyed walking in the area as well.

Don was a fantastic host. He took us even though was supposed to be offseason, helped level us out and even fixed an issue with the door of RV.
Beautiful spot on the lake with a lovely little rocky outcrop. Big open area for dogs to run, deer everywhere.

This is a great overnight spot.
Don was incredibly supportive and communicative as several tornado warnings occurred. All is well, and I appreciated his help in locating everything I needed for a comfy night.

Absolutely amazing host! We had a wonderful stay at The Ranch, despite the poor weather. A welcoming, easy to communicate with host, Don made sure we had everything we needed and more. I cannot say enough good things about this amazing place and host. We will absolutely be back. What a great experience. Stunning views, we were visited by friendly deer (even babies!) every day, and it was a lovely stay.

Don was very accommodating and helpful! We arrived much later than expected (almost 11 pm) and Don met us at his road and proceeded to help us set up. He was generous and even offered to help us straighten out one of our crooked jack stands.
The site was pretty near the lake and easy to maneuver with our travel trailer. I would recommend staying at Don’s!

I was only passing through and just stayed the night but once I showed up I wish I could have stayed longer. The site is nicely treed with a short walk down to the lake. Services provided was 30 amp electrical and water. Lots of firewood available. Don quickly met us when we arrived and helped us get set up. He was very welcoming and enjoyable to talk to. I definitely will be looking to stay again the next time I am passing through!

Don's property, The Ranch, is 10 acres of beautiful pine and spruce trees and a large grassed area that leads to a sandy beach and lake. Don was a wonderful host. He greeted us on arrival and showed us to our site which was exactly what we had asked for. We had a wonderful view of the lake and the deer that frequent it. This was our first time camping in a new RV. Don was patient and answered all our questions and was ever helpful. This was a delightful camping trip thanks in large part to Don. We highly recommend visiting Don at The Ranch.

good directions a little off the beaten path and there were mosquitoes. we heard a loon on the lake at dusk and deer walked through our site in the morning. easy connection to power and water but no outhouse. the lake was beautiful and the quiet and private.

The Ranch is fairly close to Kenora and not too bad to find even if the internet does drop off, luckily they offer wifi, water and power. The place is really nice, grass and an easy walk down to the lake - very beautiful!
