What a magical place! The property is absolutely beautiful and exactly what we needed for a little getaway. Emma was a gem and made sure we had everything we needed! The animals were a great bonus and we loved getting to feed the goats and chickens! Will definitely come again!

The camping site was so beautiful and cozy. They have some animals and organic vegetables in their farm. They gave us welcome gifts as fresh eggs and tomatoes. That was very cute gifts. It’s gonna be little hard to shower tho since it’s outdoor shower booth. They have everything setup for cook so you don’t need to bring the kitchen stuffs. Overall, I’d love to come back but maybe when it’s warmer.

My partner and I stayed on Emma's land and really enjoyed our stay. The animals added a fun element to the camping that made it a unique experience. Also, having a nearby kitchenette was helpful for on sight cooking. We enjoyed many things about the property, and location of it too. This is a great place to stay with kids and family and I would love to stay there again in the future!

We loved our stay at Sunset Hollow! The glamping tent was delightful, the camp kitchen made things super convenient, and I really enjoyed the outdoor camp shower. The animals are all so sweet and it was a treat to feed them our veggie scraps. We enjoyed exploring the local area for a day (Church Key Brewery was an highlight for sure), and we drove to Prince Edward County for a day trip. Hope we can stay again soon!

It was the perfect getaway for a weekend and anniversary. Very quiet and peaceful. And super close to town in case you forgot anything!

Sunset Hollow
We had a lovely weekend at Sunset Hollow. The glamping setup is cute and thoughtfully put together. We enjoyed the outdoor evenings by the fire. Our 3-year-old son had a great time with the animals and playground structures and even joined the hosts' daughter for a swim in their paddle pool. Thank you for the warm hospitality, Emma and David.

My daughters (7&10) and I had a really wonderful and memorable time visiting Emma and David's homestead. The tent and camp amenities are well looked after and they provide thoughtful extras. The camp site and fire pit are at the rear of the property and allow for privacy. My girls and I enjoyed visiting with the farm animals and getting up close with the goats, rabbits and friendly dogs. Emma and David are very warm and welcoming and encourage visitors to explore to their heart's content. I really appreciate that David took my girls under his wing in the morning and had them help with feeding the animals and picking freshly laid eggs to bring home. He then offered to take us all on a 4x4 tour of the local backwoods trail that was fun & scenic. My girls also loved playing on the zip line that stretched across the property and on the extensive playgrounds, obstacle course and tree house. Honestly this was one of the best over night trips we've ever taken. Everything hit the mark and Emma and David are so warm and kind. *For a time of year when mosquitoes are thick in the bush, this property is well situated and vented and we barely noticed any at all!
We also visited the Ranney gorge suspension bridge and Ferris provincial park that is only minutes away. Campbellford is a cute little town with everything you could possibly need and hosts the popular Dooher's bakery. Drop in early before they sell out!

This was an absolute favourite for us! Such a beautiful property and the surrounding area was fun to explore. The bed and tent were incredibly comfortable and the outdoor showers, campfire area and other amenities adorable. The sweet family accommodated us late at night and made great suggestions-like the roseneath fair and restaurants in the area. They even left beautiful farm fresh eggs for us! What a treat. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay! It was a very cozy and unique experience. The hosts were welcoming and hospitable. Having the farm animals (bunnies, goats, chickens, peacok) was such a fun twist on this glamping experience. We only stayed one night but wish we had stayed longer.

This was my first glamping experience and i loved it. I felt such relaxation when i was there. Emma and her family made me feel so welcomed. I loved all the personalized touches. I had everything that I needed.

We had such a lovely time at Emma’s homestead! The tent was super cozy, and it was so nice seeing the animals and the extensive gardens. The hosts were super responsive and answered any questions we had about the site. The fire pit and outdoor kitchen were an added bonus :)

Beautiful property with lovely hosts. The tent is everything and more than what you could ask for when camping - smelled of eucalyptus, was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable! The hosts left farm fresh eggs, snow peas, tea, coffee and sparkling water for us upon arrival. The outdoor kitchenette was perfect - fit with a tabletop stove and BBQ, and all the dish-ware you would need to make your meals. The outdoor shower is incredible - recently built by the hosts and very private. The 2 muskoka chairs set by the fire allow for the perfect sunset view. Firewood is also available for purchase onsite. The hosts have goats, chickens and very friendly dogs and allowed us to visit their pens (and even pet their 6-day-old baby goat!). The land offers a zip line, trampoline and a playground for kids if you have them. It poured rain for almost our entire stay and we still had a wonderful time. :)

Our stay at Sunset Hollow was the best time! The tent was stocked with fresh eggs, drinks, and a clean comfortable bed that was perfect for the night we spent. The cleared firepit area that was just a few steps from the tent was a great spot to hang as the night winded down. Being able to cook at the outdoor kitchen for breakfast and dinner was a bonus too. And with all the animals, climbing playground and swings, it's a perfect place for kids and adults. We' would definitely be return campers.

I loved camping here. You will know why it is called Sunset Hollow when you view the sunset there! The tent is super pretty and spacious! The blanket kept us really comfy and warm. It was a good break away from the city. We fed and played with the goats (Lilly, Daisy and Rosey). The fresh eggs were amazing too! Glad we chose this as a stop for our honeymoon.
Emma and family are extremely hospitable and we even joined them at the town fair and experienced our first demolition derby.
Highly recommend to anyhow who wants time off from the hustle and bustle of work.

What a great stay over the last couple of days celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. We got to get away, spend quality time together, stay in a beautiful tent with a comfy bed, and hang out with some cute animals! It was exactly what we were hoping for and not too far away from home to boot! Emma and her family were amazing, generous, and kind. Will come back!

We booked this camp site for one night to break up our drive home from Ottawa. It was a great experience, all the necessities where provided, the bell tent was sparkling clean and very comfortable, and the sunset is beautiful!!

Emma and David’s place is beautiful! The site was nice, big, and quiet. The accommodations were perfect for my friend and I. The tent had a beautiful bohemian set up which was so cute! Inside was very spacious and comfortable. It had a really nice view of the sunset and a cooking area complete with all the utensils and supplies. 10/10 would recommend!

My boyfriend and I took a trip to Emma’s place to celebrate Canada Day weekend. We had so much fun with all of her adorable animals, the fresh food and the beautiful nature her property is home to. Shoutout to Angel, their adorable dog, who would visit us and give us the best cuddles ever. Emma and David’s energy are contagious, and they made us feel so welcomed, allowing us to play with their pets and stunning daughter, whenever we felt like it. We highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves nature, camping in style and getting away from the city. We are for sure going to visit again in the future! This weekend was the most relaxing trip ever, and we are so happy we chose Emma’s Sunset Hollow!

Glamping at Sunset Hollow was wonderful this weekend. I host small retreats for women and this was the perfect spot for a glamping experience. With the quiet and picturesque landscape it was great for outdoor yoga meditation and reiki sessions as well as just relaxing and hanging out by the fire! Our host Emma was wonderful friendly and helpful. The tent was beautiful and cozy and had everything we needed to take camping to the next level. Her welcome basket was adorable and we loved the solar panel outlet for our in tent bedside lamps and spit to recharge our phones throughout our stay. The outdoor washroom was set up with a washing station outside and you can tell much care was put into all the details of our stay. The animals on the property were adorable and we loved visiting them and giving them our produce scraps after meals. The cook out tent was stocked for all our needs including a tabletop bbq we used to cook delicious meals.

A Hipcamp review can’t begin to describe the amazing experience we had at Sunset Hollow.
Looking for a way to break up our drive home, we came across Emma’s beautiful spot and thought we’d go for it.
Not having planned on camping, we didn’t have any gear with us, and as it turned out, we didn’t need a thing.
Everything was thoughtfully provided and set up for us: a fire already built and waiting for ignition, a separate camp stove with clean dishes and cookware, ample blankets in the tent, and a wash-up area complete with a mirror placed adjacent to the outhouse all made this the easiest (and swankiest) camping experience of all time.
As we rolled in close to sunset, it was nice to be able to get a fire and dinner going so quickly, and there were even solar bedside lamps that allowed us to read bedtime stories with our five year old.
In the morning, we utilized the welcome basket from the tent for breakfast and enjoyed some fresh eggs from their chickens, along with coffee.
We spotted Emma and went to say hello to her and their little girl, who our kiddo made fast friends with. Emma and her husband showed us around the grounds and introduced us to their bunnies and chickens.
We felt so welcome and connected to them instantly; we even went strawberry picking so the kids could keep playing together.
These are the kinds of connections we always hope for when traveling, and the world we want to show our child. Thanks Hipcamp, and thanks Emma and fam!

Sunset Hollow was the perfect country getaway for our family! The host Emma was so helpful and accessing the site was easy. The site was well maintained and private. The bell tent was comfy and clean. Hydro from solar power was a nice touch! Our kids enjoyed spending time with the rabbits and chickens and left with fresh farm free run organic eggs. Totally recommend staying here!
