If you are searching for a truly unique camping experience in Grey county, this maybe the one. 52 acres with the Saugeen River crossing through it. You will need to cross a creek, a raging river and hike (or ride ATV) through forests, fields and wetlands to reach your accommodations. Once you arrive, a welcoming 2 story cabin at the top of a hill with incredible views awaits (no buildings, roads etc...in any direction).Hike the trails, go swimming, go fishing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, have a campfire, see wildlife, stargaze, relax and enjoy. Very private setting (you will be all alone) on 52 acres for a truly relaxing experience. The Saugeen River is the staple of Grey and Bruce county. The clear water is a sight to be seen. The river does change often (high, low, ragging, calm). Its diversity is difficult to put into words. There is a swimming hole near the bridge that fills with friendly fish so make sure to bring your goggles in warm weather. BBQ and Camp stove are available to cook your meals. Pots, pans, plates and utensils are included. Coffee and a press for fresh brew in the morning. There is also a firepit outside you can cook on if you prefer. Inside the cabin, there is a wood stove and a sofa to keep you cozy warm. Upstairs is a King size bed with outstanding views. Bedding is included. Please note, there is no electricity or running water at the cabin. There is a solar power station to charge your phones, laptops and turn on the light.
