Joan was a very pleasant host! The property was awesome, we stayed in the Strawberry Fields Bunkie, it was very private and clean. Our dog loved running around through the woods and exploring the property with us - we would definitely go back for another stay!

Great little getaway with all of the amenities you need. It's my second time returning and it surely won't be my last! Joan is an excellent host - she is quick to respond, very helpful and always makes time to stop by and say hello.

This was a beautiful spot - we were far enough from others, but close enough to the river. Camping on the forest floor was wonderful, and there was a nearby spot to hang our hammock. Directions were clear and everyone was so helpful.

Joan has a wonderful property located next to a river. We stayed at one of the most secluded campsites but there were options for bunkies and RV parking. She had everything available for campers who may have forgotten things like bug spray or life jackets. There were dogs on the property but they were kept at a respectful distance for those less comfortable. I think the lack of Wi-Fi was a benefit as my family and I were able to enjoy some quality time together. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and it was a wonderful place to spend a couple of days. It is Ontario in the summer so be prepared for some insects but overall highly recommended.

this place is so magical!! the river is peaceful, the cabin is secluded, outdoor shower felt like a vacation, and we got to see fireflies for the first time in years. Joan is amazing and responded quickly if I had any questions. as much as I would love to keep this place a hidden gem, don't hesitate to book this spot :)

Pine in the sky

Stayed at Pine in the sky for our anniversary this past week. Had the best time. The cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable beds. Outside had a nice porch that we could eat and play games on, the surrounding property had a fire pit and a few comfortable chairs and a table that was provided that we cooked and washed dishes at. Just steps away was a washroom and shower. Wifi and electricity was also a bonus to be able to keep our cooler plugged in and use our phones when needed. We had everything we needed, stayed 5 days here and wished it was longer. The site is a perfect mix of sun and shade, surrounded by pine trees, and completely dark at night to be able to see the stars. Joan was a fantastic host, very friendly and accommodating to anything, even providing a great wagon to transport your stuff to and from the site. She also has a ton of things to use in her shed, we didn’t use anything but it’s there. We felt very comfortable here, her two dogs where very friendly aswell and entertaining, just don’t leave out any food or garbage if you plan to leave on a day trip, as we found out lol We highly recommend this place, it’s very peaceful and still close to many things… we spent a day out at local lakes and beach, doing geocaching and walks, Joan recommended a few places we could go so we checked them out. We also checked out Joan’s other cabin onsite and tent sites, each so unique and something for everyone. Thanks to Joan for everything, we will definitely be back:)

We had a great experience at the Pine in the Sky. We stayed at Strawberry Fields Bunkie last weekend. Joan is an exceptional host, she accomodated our stay since my partner’s flight arrived at 10pm and got to the cabin around 1:30am. She had left us an instructions of how to get to our cabin. At the same time, she’s making sure that we have everything that we needed.

Peaceful Retreat

Joan was an incredible host, who we were lucky to have our first Hipcamp experience with. Very personable, hospitable, and accommodating -- she treated us with the warmth of an old friend, which we will forever be grateful for. Pine the Sky is wonderful! The Strawberry bunkie is a short 3 minute walk from the parking area next to Joan's cabin. It's just the perfect distance away - - far enough to feel secluded, but close enough for a water refill, outhouse trip, shower, or cargo run. Joan provides her guests with a very capable wheelbarrow, so there's no need to fret about making multiple trips to your car. Despite its size, the bunkie was very capable: equipped with a futon upstairs (low headroom), and pullout bed + dining set downstairs, as well as a heater and multiple precharged light sources, you've got all the ingredients for a comfy stay. An enclosed fuel generator out back powers the cabin, which was surprisingly quiet! The property is tranquil, safe, and easy to access. Being engulfed by the pine trees is as invigorating as it is enjoyable, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a breath of fresh air. The best part about our stay, though, by far, has to be Obsidian, one of Joan's two dogs. You'll know exactly what I mean when you meet him! ;) He's captured our hearts fully, and we would be happy to return even just to see him again. Just book it, you'll have a great time! 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲

Cabin was closer to the main house than we thought but was still tucked away enough! Went for a swim on one of the nice days in the river (tip: bring some rope to help you climb out as it’s very slippery clay) Went fishing and caught a very small brook trout. Host and doggos are very sweet! The area is full of amazing sights, you can make an entire day out of adventuring the area within 25 mins of the cabin

Hideaway in the Pines

Beautiful property. Joan was a wonderful host and we just loved her dogs. The weather wasn't the greatest so we didn't get a chance to put our kayaks in the river but we will definitely be back when it warms up to revisit. Looking forward to that!! Thank you Joan 🙂

Coziest Outdoor Weekend Getaway!!

We had an amazing time here for a cozy little getaway. The property was beautiful, the hosts were great. The little cabin was cozy comfortable. It was all great to go visit Hoggs Falls and Eugenenia Falls which was super fun. Thank you for an amazing weekend. We really hope to return soon.

We tent camped at river site. The site was a great a walk from parking. We had ample spots to pitch, and a great angle for watching the sunsets, and to have a mellow rise in the morning. The fit pit is great and the cooking rack matched perfectly. The Host was a gem, Perfect, very easy and and fun to boot. Will be booking again. We booked this site as it seamed the closest To Devils Glen Provincial Park, and closer to to rock climbing parking spot at Devils Glen. It allowed for a direct route through Fllesherton that has a couple great coffee and take away breakfast options.

Hideaway in the Pines

Pine the sky is hands down one of the best campsites l've ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, our host Joan, made us feel completely comfortable and at home. She's super friendly and puts a lot of care into making the campsite special. The site itself is stunning- nestled in nature with a trail that leads to a breathtaking view of the river. The space was clean, peaceful and perfectly set up for a relaxing escape or an adventure packed weekend. We highly recommend Pine the Sky!!

Pine the Sky is good camping site.

I am so satisfied with my time at Pine the Sky. I was worried because of the unexpectedly heavy snowfall, but the consideration of the host Joan was a great comfort.

Hideaway in the Pines

I had the most incredible stay at this cabin with my friends! Everything was done so tastefully and beautifully, it all came together perfectly! You can tell that Joan genuinely put a lot of thought and care into every detail. She’s not only kind and amazing, but her hospitality really stands out. Plus her dogs were really cute and friendly. The land itself is absolutely stunning, offering a bit of everything you could want in a getaway. Plus, the cabin is equipped with everything you could possibly need, making it so convenient and stress-free. It truly exceeded all our expectations. Can’t wait to go back.
