Perfect time of year to stay in our special little rustic cabin nestled amongst 100 unspoiled acres of mixed forest with various walking trails on the property. It's the perfect place to unplug, unwind and completely connect with nature to enjoy some quiet time. In this cozy glamping setting, you will be serenaded by birds of every kind and will often see deer drinking by the stream close by. This cabin is OFF GRID (limited solar power) but has a wood stove (bundles of firewood available for purchase), propane outdoor portable grill, and enough solar power for very small electronic appliances. Sleeps 3 adults comfortably (or 2 adults & 2 children however msg us if you have any questions). Indoor bathroom with compostable toilet indoors. Many attractions and conveniences only 10-15 mins away in Port Sydney, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Nearby is a the beautiful public Mary Lake beach and boat launch in Port Sydney. There is NO HUNTING permitted on the property. Please expect bugs, flies and mosquitoes. Deck is mostly enclosed to make star filled nights that much more enjoyable. There is also a sugar shack and garage on the property for viewing purposes only. There is an outdoor propane shower and a large cooler available for your convenience as well. Guests to bring their own ice. Looking forward to sharing our special little zen hideaway! NEARBY -Algonquin Park -Arrowhead Provincial Park -TreeTop Trekking (Huntsville) -Limberlost Forest Reserve -Santa's Village in Bracebridge (30mins) -Horseback riding at Winding Fences Farm in Windermere (25mins) -Scenic rapids and a great picnic spot on the Muskoka River in Port Sydney. RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATIONS -Tall Trees Muskoka Restaurant -Huntsville Brewhouse -Boston Pizza -El Pueblito -That Little Place by the Lights (Italian) Many amenities nearby (grocery stores, drug stores, fast food, farmer's markets, coffee shops, etc) Huntsville is 18km, Bracebridge is 27km andPort Sydney is 8.5km from the cabin.Welcome to our little piece of heaven amongst 100 acres of a wooded and wildlife setting. This off-grid cabin sleeps 3 people comfortably with 1 queen bed in the loft and a futon on the main floor. It comes equipped with a wood stove, nearly completely enclosed deck, outdoor shower and dining area, outdoor propane cooking stove and BBQ, indoor compostable toilet and many kitchen essentials. The high ceilings give the feeling of openness and relaxation. Solar system provides a full 300W of power on sunny days. Plugging in a laptop is the maximum amount of power you would want to use in terms of small appliances. Very good cell service. Many extras are provided to make your stay as convenient as possible. The 3 min forrest drive to the cabin is quite picturesque but bumpy with a few protruding rocks so please use caution while driving. Location is remote however you are 10mins away from the beautiful town of Port Sydney and between Huntsville and Bracebridge. Perfect location and stay to fully indulge in what Muskoka has to offer. Awesome off grid
This was a great experience. But eyes wide open, this is an off grid cabin! If your not prepared for things within the environment ie rain,bugs,bears your level of comfort can vary!!! Super easy set up and usage around the cabin. Lots of space to roam. We came in May and the bugs were the dominant force in the forest and they were limiting. Dogs loved it, kids loved the cell coverage and the wife and I loved the screened porch area(s). Cooking was camp like set up,super easy. Great wood stove. Simple composter toilet. Host Cari was awesome. First rental on hipcamp for us, won't b our last!

Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat
What a wonderful retreat in a working Maple farm. Very well equipped with comfortable sleeping arrangements my favorite was the magical loft. We were all very grateful for the large screened in porch as the mosquitoes were in fine form. Near by Huntsville has lots of neat experience our favorite was dinner at Tall Trees Wich was an experience not just a meal. Our host Cari was excellent as well.

Serene escape
We had a great time disconnecting at this serene cabin nestled in the woods. Very rustic but has everything you need. More spacious than I expected! Absolutely loved the loft bed and views from the windows. Cari was super responsive and great to communicate with. Looking forward to our next visit!

Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat
A wonderful weekend getaway!
This cabin was absolutely wonderful and the host was amazing! My boyfriend and I rented the cabin for a weekend getaway for his birthday and I'm extremely impressed by the host's amazing hospitality and communication. Cari was quick to answer all and any questions I had leading up to and during our stay. She even lit a fire for us before arrival to ensure the cabin was warm when we got there and she allowed us to check out later since no one booked it it the same day we were checking out. The cabin was well stocked firewood, a few decks of cards, books and board games. Many kitchen supplies are provided as well such as pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, plates, bowls and cooking utensils. Lots of water available for cooking and cleaning with, but you need to bring your own water to drink. The bed was extremely comfortable and the couch was amazing to lounge around on as well! The road to the cabin was quite slippery so be sure to make sure your car is equipped with winter tires and has 4 wheel drive. Alternatively, a sled was provided along with a parking spot at the entrance, which would be a 5-8 min walk in. I would absolutely love to stay here again and would recommend this site to anyone who is looking for a cozy getaway!!

I enjoyed a lot this beautiful cabin deep in the woods. Host is very helpful. I will definitely be back in summer.
