We had an amazing time at the off grid cabin! It’s truly a relaxing and serene place with no outside noise at all. The setup is great for being so remote!

This cabin is lovely! It is clean, fully stocked with cooking essentials (pots, pans, plates, knives, etc), and the host is very thoughtful, communicative, and helpful. I stayed here twice - on my way to the east coast and on my way back.

Incredibly comfortable and secluded cabin. Has everything you could need without plumbing. (Toilet that doesn't smell and works great, outdoor shower is to die for, large jugs of water with nozzles like a sink faucet) Makes everything feel like your off grid but still have amenities. Still feels so off grid and was just such a peaceful stay.

Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat
Great spot !! Very quiet, private and relaxing. We loved spending time on the porch rocking chairs. Bed is very comfortable, as is the futon. The outdoor shower worked out great. Cari provided us with a perfect amount of water. All questions were answered promptly.
We ventured out to local spots including Santa’s village, Port Sydney Falls, Tall Trees restaurant and Bellys ice cream in Huntsville. Nice middle spot between Huntsville and Bracebridge. Highly recommend !!

Me, My Husband and my 12 year old son, who is on the spectrum, stayed 2 days at Cari's Cabin deep in the woods. This little treasure is such a great space. It is THE MOST outfitted cabin that I have ever visited, and we have rented quite a few cottages before this one. Everything has been thought out so well my mind could actually relax because I knew that I could find whatever I needed in this cabin if need be. Dishes, cooking ware, gas stove, bbq, flashlights, etc... I can't name it all, but when you have a son that takes a lot of your time and attention, knowing that I can find what I need quickly was quite a relief. PLUS, a beautiful net protected porch with an outdoor dining area also net protected. 2 rocking chairs on the porch. Amazing little loft upstairs where our son loved to just relax. It was so quiet outside and calm. Cari is an amazing host that answered all my questions when needed and made me feel welcomed. We will be back for sure. We visited Port Sydney Falls and Huntsville town that had lovely little shops.

A great little getaway that's nice and secluded but not too far away if you want to do a day trip somewhere. Cari had pretty well everything you'd need at the cabin, even some books and games! The outdoor shower was really fun to try. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Cabin was great and advertised perfectly. This cabin is off the grid so please be ready for bugs. Cari was a great host who was very responsive and accommodating. The cabin had everything needed for a great time and an escape from reality

We just stayed 1 night for a stopover before a canoe trip in Algonquin park. The property is a beautiful, peaceful off grid property, exactly as advertised. Great place to disconnect. Cari was an excellent host, I would definitely stay there again.

It was my wife's birthday and we were looking for a romantic space, surrounded by nature and comfortable and that's what we found, I must say that the sounds of the forest are absolutely amazing..., we loved it and we want to go back and stay longer. something else to say is that everything you read here about mosquitoes is true.

This was a great experience. But eyes wide open, this is an off grid cabin! If your not prepared for things within the environment ie rain,bugs,bears your level of comfort can vary!!! Super easy set up and usage around the cabin. Lots of space to roam. We came in May and the bugs were the dominant force in the forest and they were limiting. Dogs loved it, kids loved the cell coverage and the wife and I loved the screened porch area(s). Cooking was camp like set up,super easy. Great wood stove. Simple composter toilet. Host Cari was awesome. First rental on hipcamp for us, won't b our last!

Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat
What a wonderful retreat in a working Maple farm. Very well equipped with comfortable sleeping arrangements my favorite was the magical loft. We were all very grateful for the large screened in porch as the mosquitoes were in fine form. Near by Huntsville has lots of neat experience our favorite was dinner at Tall Trees Wich was an experience not just a meal. Our host Cari was excellent as well.

We had a great time disconnecting at this serene cabin nestled in the woods. Very rustic but has everything you need. More spacious than I expected! Absolutely loved the loft bed and views from the windows. Cari was super responsive and great to communicate with. Looking forward to our next visit!

This cabin was absolutely wonderful and the host was amazing! My boyfriend and I rented the cabin for a weekend getaway for his birthday and I'm extremely impressed by the host's amazing hospitality and communication. Cari was quick to answer all and any questions I had leading up to and during our stay. She even lit a fire for us before arrival to ensure the cabin was warm when we got there and she allowed us to check out later since no one booked it it the same day we were checking out.
The cabin was well stocked firewood, a few decks of cards, books and board games. Many kitchen supplies are provided as well such as pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, plates, bowls and cooking utensils. Lots of water available for cooking and cleaning with, but you need to bring your own water to drink. The bed was extremely comfortable and the couch was amazing to lounge around on as well! The road to the cabin was quite slippery so be sure to make sure your car is equipped with winter tires and has 4 wheel drive. Alternatively, a sled was provided along with a parking spot at the entrance, which would be a 5-8 min walk in.
I would absolutely love to stay here again and would recommend this site to anyone who is looking for a cozy getaway!!

Cari’s cabin was everything we needed for a few nights away from a busy life in the city. From the wood stove to the silent woods around us, it really required us to slow down and be present. We were also under an hour away from Algonquin and made the day trip for a lovely hike, and you’re only 20 minutes from Huntsville. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to unwind and unplug!

We had such a nice stay at this little cabin, what a gem.
It is perfectly quiet and private, and we stayed super toasty and cozy with the little woodstove.
We really appreciated the extra touches, like lots of tea lights and lanterns, batteries, a solar powered radio, hunter orange vests so that we could go for nice walks. The little deck with a patio was perfect for sitting out in nature, watching the birds at the feeder, and enjoying one of the many varieties of tea in the cupboard, along with fresh cookies from a local bakery.
The fire had already been lit when we arrived, so we walked in to a nice warm cabin, with plenty of firewood stacked next to it. There were several full water jugs already in the kitchen, and Cari checked in with us halfway through our stay to make sure that we didn't need more water or anything else. She made us feel very welcome, and was quick to respond to any questions that we had.
We are hoping to make this an annual trip, and would love to return to this sweet little cabin in the woods.

The cabin was the perfect place to unwind for the weekend. It is equipped with everything you could need and more. A great spot to adventure in the forest on the property or to cozy up on the porch. We can't wait to go back!
