The best part is that you can bring your best friend along with you! This property is pet-friendly. At Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park (15-minute drive), you can enjoy panoramic views of a 150-metre wide gorge and sheer cliffs that drop 100 metres straight down to the canyon floor. A trail and boardwalk connect two lookout platforms with spectacular views of the canyon. Arctic plants usually found 1,000 kilometres north, survive in the unique environment at the bottom of the canyon. After being in the woods along Superior and Huron, this property was an oasis of sunshine and privacy. The topography is low lands with pastorale meadows of incredible wildflowers and forest. The Hurkett Conservation Area, minutes away, provided wonderful hiking along Superior. The Ouimet Cavern is striking to visit!

Great Camp Spot by Ouimet Canyon

I enjoyed staying here! Geraldine made sure I had everything I needed. I will warn you that it is next to a train tracks that have trains passing all night. The trees are beautiful and we ended up seeing some amazing stars though! Overall, definitely a great spot right near Ouimet Canyon!

The hosts were amazing and went out of their way to take care of us! We loved the convenience of the location right off the TransCanada Hwy. We had a great night enjoying the large fire pit. The outhouse is beautifully designed too. Thanks for everything Geraldine and Charlie, it really was a pleasure to meet you! We hope to see you again soon.

Good stop for tent or trailer

My Happy Place

Easy access right off TransCanada Hwy 20 min West of Nipigon. Ouimet Canyon is just down the road. Nice grass lawn property with trees and flowers. Dark sky for big stars. Fire pit. Outhouse. Geraldine is lovely, friendly and welcoming.
