Lovely spot in the forest near pond
Hipcamp website seems to have a glitch, it says "write an honest review ... required to submit your low rating" - but it's not giving me any opportunity to give an actual rating. I'd give it 4/5, Nancy and Kemp were welcoming hosts and their property is beautiful. Some of the amenities common at a campground would be nice for the price - a solid enclosure/shed for the bucket toilet so there's less worry about it falling over or getting insect bites while using it, and a running water tap (garden hose?) instead of a jug. Remember to bring earplugs and plenty of bug spray as the frogs in the pond are plentiful and the insect population is very healthy.

Our stay was wonderful. The location is incredible with access to the Bruce trail and other fantastic hikes. The hosts were welcoming, kind and helpful. Definitely will come back

Great spot to camp! Nancy and Kemp are so accommodating and welcoming, and their property is beautiful. It's perfect to be able to do some great hikes from.

My first winter camp was a success. I was in touch with Nancy prior to my trip to ensure I was prepared, directions were clear and response time was appropriate. On arrival I met with Kemp, he showed me around, gave me a map and supplied me with sufficient firewood to stay warm. Kemp and Nancy were flexible with check in and check out times. Overall I had a great experience, I learned a lot and I look forward to doing it again. Thank you for your hospitality and thank you for the fresh brew of coffee.

It’s a wonderful spot near the Bruce Trail and an excellent choice for through-hikers. I’ve stayed here 3 times and still haven’t walked all the side trails nearby. Nancy and her husband go well out of their way to make sure I have everything I need. I will be back again.

loved the location because of how quiet it was and covered under the sky full of stars. And the host were really good, provided us with firewood, and also were really helpful and super nice. Hoping to visit the place again.

Everything went pretty great! Nancy and Walter were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. The land was beautiful and well-maintained, providing a perfect spot for camping. They provided plenty of wood for the fireplace, which made for cozy evenings, and the ride on Walter’s lawn tractor was a fun and unique experience. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with friendly hosts, this is the place to be! Thank you so much.

We really enjoyed our experience! The host was so lovely and kind, and really made us feel so welcome. It rained while we were there, and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The space was so beautiful and peaceful, it was a real oasis away from the city.

Nancy and Kemp are wonderful hosts and their property is in a beautiful spot with several options for tent locations. We had a great time around the campfire and hiking trails right from the back of their yard onto the Silver Creek Conservation Area. There are cool rock formations, and lots of moss and fungi to see very close by. They provided us with water we needed it, were generous with the firewood, and we had fun sharing our nachos with them!

Our family booked this site because of the location. Our three kids had a great time, the trampoline and fire were a hit. Beautiful property with access to the Bruce Trail. I can’t say enough good things about Nancy and Kemp. The hospitality was top notch and they are very accommodating.
