Welcome to our cabins in the woods at Villa Vida Loca, in beautiful Sunderland, Ontario! Our tiny cabins are tucked away in the woods on our gorgeous, private 10-acre property in the heart of North Durham. We offer a unique glamping experience with all the benefits of camping, but with a roof over your head, floor under your feet and super cool amenities. Please read our full listings before requesting a booking. If you’re unsure about something, just ask. We’re very laid back, approachable and inclusive people, and can’t wait to welcome you. Nearby We’re surrounded by Beaverton on Lake Simcoe, Port Perry on Lake Scugog and Uxbridge (the Trail Capital of Canada), which are a close driving distance away. Around the corner from us, the Beaver River Wetland Trail (part of the Trans Canada Trail) is the perfect place for a hike or bike ride. There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – fabulous restaurants, breweries and wineries, top golf courses, beaches, fishing, watersports, agri-tourism experiences, events and more. Upon your arrival, we’ll provide you with an up-to-date list of recommendations based on the season.

Best Google search ever. Searched for "glamping" and had the most amazing time. Didn't know what to expect but the hosts were AMAZING, will for sure be booking again!!!

Had a great time at this little cabin. It was clean and cozy! The hosts were very responsive and added nice touches to the cabin (water, coffee, scrabble board). The bed was a great size and quite comfortable, but if you’re tall, watch your head! Though we both tried hard to avoid it, my husband and I both hit our heads a couple of times while trying to get settled into bed. The outhouse was close by, and the outdoor sink was a great feature. There are a couple of large dogs on the property. At times, they came by our site for a visit. Super friendly dogs. Overall, had a great stay.

My recent stay at the A-frame cabin was an adventure like no other! Nestled in the heart of North Durham, this hidden gem offers an unforgettable blend of rustic charm and modern comforts. If you're ready to embrace the great outdoors and indulge in a unique glamping experience, look no further. Inside the cabin, there is a comfy large bed, 2 lounge chairs, a coffee maker, and full electricity available. The private hot/cold outdoor shower was very nice, allowing me to connect with nature while enjoying a soothing cleanse. Adjacent to the cabin, the large sink with a faucet made chores easy and convenient. There is also a charming outhouse just steps away, providing the necessary facilities with a touch of comfort. The added amenities on-site, like the hot tub and pool, truly elevated the experience. Enjoying refreshing dips in the pool, making each moment a true indulgence. Brian and Ann, our gracious hosts, made the experience even more memorable. Their hospitality and accommodating nature were unmatched. From interacting with chickens to learning about honey bees, exploring the property, and visiting their boutique farm market, featuring an array of locally sourced goods. In all, my stay at the A-frame cabin was an adventure of a lifetime. It's a perfect blend of rustic charm and outdoor excitement, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a unique and unforgettable getaway.
