The terrain is mostly flat but interesting. Campsites are private with good separation from each other. ALL sites have 2 car parking, a picnic table, fire pit and covered wood for purchase. Campfires are permitted according to our approved burn plan before midnight.
5G/LTE cellphone service is good for Bell, Rogers and Telus networks. We have 3 outhouses on the premises and an outdoor hot shower.
FREE Firewood can be gathered on the forest floor or pay for on-site pre-cut wood. Outhouses are close to campsites....but not too close 💩
Port Rowan is only 12 minutes away by car, most amenities can be purchased only 1 minute away at the local Busy Bee gas station.
We are situated in the middle of a Recreation Hotspot! Our site is within 3 minutes of paddling the Big Creek, 3 to 10 minutes to several A+ hiking trails, 15 minutes to amazing freshwater beaches of Long Point and Turkey Point, and the area is abound with cycling trails, motorcycle routes, geocaching, boat launches (we have room here for your boat!), cider/wine tours, and more! We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer
We have some great watering holes nearby like burning kiln winery, hounds of Erie and Charlotteville brewing company.
Birders Paradise!
The ‘Long Point Birding Area’ in Norfolk County is one of Canada’s premier birding locales. With over 400 species of birds observed, Long Point looms large as one of the most exciting places on the continent to observe our rich birdlife.

This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community.
It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night.
The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead.
There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company.
Here is what the land offers:
-Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023
-Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table
-Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River.

The Point...
The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. Adventurous visitors might choose to paddle upriver, around an island, and return through the remaining historic canal. For a more strenuous workout, consider paddling up the canal to the Grenville lighthouse and then drifting all the way back to camp with the river's current. Hemlock Point Campground is set on a private waterway fed by the Black River, nestled among forests and rocky ridges. The river offers a unique swimhole in between rapids, and bass fishing within walking or paddling range. Campers may also park at owners (1426) to shorten the hike to the swimhole (see trail map). Each campsite is spacious with a private driveway, outhouse, picnic table, propane BBQ, bicycles, and more. As well as using the canoe (or kayaks at Brookside) provided, campers are also welcome to hike the marked and groomed waterfront hiking trails throughout the 56 acre property, and just down the road is Mt. Moriah, a Buddhist Temple, and numerous backcountry trails, reserves, and lakes. ATV's are permitted on the road, (gateway to trails to Lingham, Deer Rock, Caniff, and Skootamatta Lakes) and friendly dogs are welcome off leash. This is a unique gelogical landscape, situated between Mt. Moriah, the Elzevir pluton complex and the Black River in an ultramafic zone, with coloured quartz veins and pillowed granite outcroppings. Mixed forest with varied species of deciduous and conifer trees - due to aerial seeding after a forest fire over 80 years ago, leaving charred stumps that can still be found from natural char preservation. Home to pileated woodpeckers, hawks, eagles and kingfishers, otters, fishers, salamanders, bass and bullhead and everything in between, either from the vantage of a hammock or on a hike in the forest this natural site won't disappoint.

It was 1984 when John found his ‘diamond in the rough’, 20 acres with an orchard on the outskirts of Brantford.
O.K., so the house was nothing to write home about but perfect for building a construction yard…no neighbors except for the family across the road that used their property to build log homes.
By 1987 the old house was gone, a new one was being built and a shop for working on heavy equipment had been located about 200 ft. from Dr. the back door.
It wasn’t until 1996 that things changed very much.
Yes, the property around the house had benefitted from a wide array of trees and shrubs that John saved from the construction/demolition jobs he had done and that still thrive today but no big projects (except for equipment purchases) were ongoing.
A chance meeting with the neighbor across the road one day resulted in the following dinner conversation, ‘How was your day’ I chirped. ‘Not bad, so-and-so didn’t come in; the truck broke down and I took it for repair; I bought the property across the road, and oh, yeah I’ll need a ride after dinner to pick up the truck’ was John’s casual reply. ‘What was that’? I pressed. ‘Yes, I need a ride after dinner to pick up the truck’ he repeated with a bit more volume. Of course like anyone, I had questions, ‘Do you want peas or corn with dinner’? ‘What time do you want to go to get the truck’?
‘The property across the road’, 10 acres, still has the 4 storey barn with its twin tiled silos which was built in 1914 and the big white house with wrap around porch that once was home to a Doctor and his family. Built so the Doctor could see his patients in the front with the family living in the back was very common in the day.
Things remained relatively peaceful until 2000 when after studying alpacas for more than 6 years I bought our first three.
Back in 2000 alpacas and llamas were not frequently seen on farms and because they could been seen from the road they received A LOT of attention.
People driving by would stop and ask about them, ask if they could take a picture or two and that was when I would hear over and over again ‘You have a beautiful place here, I wish I/we could stay’.
Well, if you want to visit and stay in the city it’s doable, we call it a hotel. But visiting a farm and staying well, that isn’t so easy.
Each year we would see more and more families coming to ‘The Farm’ as they would call it.
Some came to see the alpacas and horses, some came for a stroll and to check out the horse drawn milk and bread delivery wagons, some to have family birthday parties, others to have engagement/wedding/Christmas card pictures…and so many asked if there was any way they could spend a day or two.
In 2021 during a conversation with a friend I mentioned we were in the process of gutting the 1100 sq. ft. space downstairs and turning it into an Airbnb! Right away she said, ‘I don’t know why you don’t have a Hipcamp? You’ve got that great area by the new barn that Hipcampers would love’!
After a little investigation I found out what a Hipcamp was and the rest is history.

Campers can choose from six sites directly on the river, there are currently two rustic-looking outhouses on-site with another planned.

Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), Elmire (10 min). There is access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. This is a hidden Oasis just outside of the Waterloo and Guelph areas.
There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – great restaurants, breweries and wineries, golf courses, rivers, fishing, agri-tourism experiences, events and more.
There is really something for everyone around here.
We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night.
We have:

We strive to give you a tranquil experience in a beautiful space where you can enjoy relaxing days close to nature, have space to play games, have a paddle around the pond, or seek out the many surrounding activities.
You may encounter property owners (that's us!) and our kids enjoying a walk with their friendly dogs unleashed, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work near your site and around the property. We hope you don't mind. We aim to give you a lot of privacy, so we aren't going to be around all the time, don't worry. But this is a shared space, that we want to enjoy alongside you and we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We'll definitely say hi if we see you but we won't overstay our welcome!

Our tiny cabins are tucked away in the woods on our gorgeous, private 10-acre property in the heart of North Durham. We offer a unique glamping experience with all the benefits of camping, but with a roof over your head, floor under your feet and super cool amenities.

We’re surrounded by Beaverton on Lake Simcoe, Port Perry on Lake Scugog and Uxbridge (the Trail Capital of Canada), which are a close driving distance away. Around the corner from us, the Beaver River Wetland Trail (part of the Trans Canada Trail) is the perfect place for a hike or bike ride.
There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – fabulous restaurants, breweries and wineries, top golf courses, beaches, fishing, watersports, agri-tourism experiences, events and more. Upon your arrival, we’ll provide you with an up-to-date list of recommendations based on the season.

Relax and unwind in this beautiful cabin by the river. Sit on the front deck and relax and enjoy the sounds of the running water. The cabin has limited electricity for lights, ceiling fan, cell phone charging and WiFi etc. There is room to comfortably sleep 4 people. (Please note, for larger groups more than 4 people, tent rental or tent site must be booked at the same time.) There is a single over double bunk bed and a roomy camp cot. Blankets are provided but please bring your own bedding (sleeping bags encouraged during colder months). The room also includes a mini fridge, diesel heater . There is a lovely wooden swing to relax. There is a cooking area that includes a propane BBQ for your use with cooking utensils. There is also a fire pit with a grill and a beautiful wooden outhouse just steps away from the cabin.

Cabin is only 5 minutes from Bells Lake where you can fish, swim, canoe, kayak and paddle Board. Only 10 minutes from Ferns Gold Club and a short drive to Hogg Falls, Eugenia Falls and Ingliss Falls, which all offer amazing hiking Trails. There is a public beach close by in Durham, only 20 minutes away.

My girlfriend and I had the most amazing stay at Karen’s farm! 🐴🦙🤍 From the moment we arrived, Karen was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely. She gave us an amazing tour of the property and made us feel completely at home.
The horses, alpacas, and llamas were SO cute, and the entire property is absolutely beautiful and incredibly well maintained. It has that special cozy, peaceful feeling where you immediately feel at home.
Karen was also so helpful with recommendations for things to do nearby. She suggested the Grand River, where we rented canoes and had such an amazing time — and it was dog-friendly, which was perfect for us! 🐶🛶 She also recommended an amazing sandwich shop that did not disappoint.
And if you’re looking for something fun in the evening, Steel Wheel Brewery is super close by, dog-friendly, and had live music when we went. Such a great spot!
Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Karen made our stay so special, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly, highly recommend! 🤍🌾🐴

We had such a great stay at EverHill Farm! Josh went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, especially knowing we have a reactive dog. He kindly offered us a more secluded spot, which made such a huge difference and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our camping trip.
The site itself was clean, neat, peaceful, and well looked after. We were also seriously impressed by how clean the outhouse was — definitely one of the cleanest we’ve ever come across while camping!

Such a lovely little getaway! Everything was exactly as described, super clean and peaceful, with lots of privacy. We especially loved sitting outside at night, enjoying the beautiful view and stargazing. The host was so kind and welcoming, which made the stay even nicer. We left with such good memories and would love to come back one day!

We were the first guests to try out this new site, and we really enjoyed our stay! The site is spacious, with a lovely view of the forest and a very convenient location close to the bathrooms without feeling too close. The composting toilets were always kept very clean, with no unpleasant smell, and plenty of hand sanitizer was provided.
It’s also just a short walk to the shore. Even though this particular site isn’t directly on the water, we really appreciated having easy access to the common waterfront area, whether to get out on the water or simply relax in one of the Adirondack chairs or hammocks available for everyone to enjoy.
Brian is an exceptional host—genuinely kind, attentive, and always making sure we had what we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
A beautiful, peaceful place to camp, and we’d happily come back!

Josh and his lovely family are the hostest. It was one of the most incredible experiences we've ever had. From riding a truck and exploring the farm and the trail til hanging out in their cabin at night all were amazing
You can enjoy the watching the start and milkway at night if the weather allows.

Host Karen is super nice and very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and history of this town. It’s a very fun place for all age groups. She can take you on a tour of her farm where you can interact with alpacas. The area is safe and the porta-potty was very clean. We just wish it was more centralized between all the sites rather than closer to the other sites, where we had to walk around a barn to reach it or walk through the other sites to reach it faster. Nevertheless, the experience there was awesome and would go again.

Weekend Trip to Woodlands Dome - A charming getaway
Had a wonderful time in Mai's glamping dome! Mai and her flock of hens and rooster welcomed us, everything in the dome was well thought out, the space was beautiful, it was serene and quiet, and Mai was very accommodating. She recommended some great places, too, so we were spoiled for choice.

Brien’s land is managed personally by Brien and ensures your stay on the site is as comfortable as it can be.
He ensures you get familiar with the surroundings and proposes multiple activities around , including extensive historical facts. So, you’re in good hands, either in person or a phone call away. A good base for kayakers wishing to explore the Ottawa river up to Montebello, including la Rivière Rouge entrance.

My daughter and I had a lovely one night stay. So many surprises - games, a zipline, and even a keurig coffee machine. The sound of the river was perfect to fall asleep to. And even when a bee sting put a little stop in our fun, Jim was quick to response to bring us a first aid kit.

Besides festival camping, this was my first real camping trip and it was solo! And boy did i luck out. This place is amazing. Beautiful cute wooded area, with campsites well spread out. It was the perfect place for me reset with nature. Great location... close to long point and turkey point. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in the glamping dome on Mai’s land. The dome was comfortable and made the experience feel special, while the property itself was peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Mai was welcoming and helpful, and everything was well organized. We also really enjoyed seeing the chickens around the property, which added a charming countryside feel to the stay. It was a great place to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and get away from the city. We would definitely recommend it and would happily return.

Beautiful, well kept, secluded and quiet - off the beaten path! It doesnt need anything more than what it has. Hospitality was exceptional. Clean facilities. Clear instructions. 10/10 recommend, will be returning!! You can tell Erik and Angela take pride in their little oasis. You dont get campgrounds like this much anymore.
