This was such a unique and awesome stay! There is really nothing like waking up to cows outside your campsite. Wim is a great host, he took us on tour of the farm and campsites upon arrival and introduced us to all the animals on the farm. Once we selected our site, he came out to setup the rope around our site. He also let us help feed their latest calf! This was such a great stay.

Wim was an excellent host. He showed us around the property, introduced us to the many animals and even let us help feed their baby calf! The property is vast, and our camping spot nestled in the trees next to the corn field was very comfortable. Wim's animals graze in the field and we loved to see the cows and horses roaming around. Wim helped us when our cars got stuck in mud and he even gave us free-range eggs! It was our pleasure to stay on Wim's land and we'll definitely be back in the future.

We had a amazing experience on Wims farm! My kids got to collect eggs and help with smaller chores around the farm! Three beautiful white horses are out a a story book and the cattle just come and go as they please such a beautiful place to camp and super friendly host!

We had a nice stay - the campsites are just areas of land with fire pits (no outhouse, picnic tables, cooking facilities) so the price seems a bit steep. A fair amount of bugs as well, which can't be avoided but still made sitting outside almost impossible. But the cows/other critters are cute and Wim was very accommodating! Definitely suitable for a one night stay.

Camping on Wim’s property was great. He was always checking to see if we were ok. Very nice man. It was amazing to see the Highland cattle stroll by in the evening. When we woke up in the morning they were still there. As the sun came up they went into the forest.

Delightfully quiet and private camping on Wim’s enclosed land. Wim is an amazing host and full of interesting information about all his animals. The cattle hardly made a noise and plenty of photo ops! We biked some and had delicious fresh eggs, it just was so exciting on his farm, especially for the younguns. Wim has a hidden gem for sure😃

We love this place, it was my wife's first time camping experience and she love it. The place is clean and beautiful! The cows, horses, chickens etc make it more beautiful.
Hostes (Win) was super nice with us, he show us the area around before selecting where to stay. We are thinking to back with friends now. I will say 100% recommend.

If you have a night or two free than go here! The kids can feed chickens, pet horses and see highland cattle up close. The host Wim is so welcoming and accommodating and good with the kids. It was great. Plenty of land the horses and castle roam freely and are not at all shy. The horses came up to us multiple times. Nice area of bush to walk through. Highly recommend

Wim is a wonderful host - very kind and extremely generous with his resources and time. The grounds are beautiful. Our children were endlessly entertained by Hammer, the cattle, the horses and the chickens (along with the newly hatched chicks). Highly recommend the host and the location, we are definitely coming back.

Wim was a great host! He met us on arrival and showed us around the property where we got to meet the cows, horses and chickens, and he even let us take a bunch of fresh chicken eggs to eat. We were able to fill some drinking water and he had firewood to use. The cows were curious and friendly, the horses were so gentle and beautiful... It was so enjoyable to be around them!! This experience inspires us to do something similar one day. Thanks for a great stay, Wim!

Privacy, a meadow, a field, a creek, a forest, a herd of cattle and a trio of horses - what more could one ask for? If the answer is a welcoming and wonderful host and a friendly dog, then one will get that here with Wim and Hammer.

As soon as I met the host, Wim, i immediately could tell that he was a gentle family man! I was lucky to be able to meet his two wonderful sisters as well, who ended up coming for a little buggie tour of his property! Once we found his 3 gorgeous, majestic horses, we road on to find his heard of Scottish cattle in a little river on his property. He is close enough to them to pet them, comb them and give them different, fun hairstyles if he wants to!
My site that I stayed on was beautiful and had such beautiful sunlight coming through the trees. I felt very relaxed, at home and safe there.
Wim loves sharing his property with others and was such a joy to stay with!!

Bring carrots and apples to feed the horses (easier to feed cut up peices not too small). I enjoyed farm fresh eggs in the morning. It was so hot i was tempted to go in the creek with the cows. There were really no spiders here, except for in the bush. No spiders on my tent when i put it away. I recomend a fly swatter for killing the pesky flies in the tent. You can bring treats for the farm dog, or anti flea/ear mite from vet.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The site was unbelievable. No need for music just listen to the sound of nature. With all the free wood available by nature it’s self. The cows did their thing while we watched. The horses or one of our favourites. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone that wants to relax and enjoy nature and respect it for what it is.

Wim was a great host - frequent tours of the grounds on his gator, feeding the chickens, collecting eggs; he checked on us and offered help after some crazy weather. Plenty of fire wood to collect, gorgeous grounds (watch where you step!!), Watch the sunset from the closest site (electrical). Cows and horses hang out quite close to sites which was amazing!! Wim joined us for a campfire and bevvies one night too :). We will absolutely return!!

Had a nice relaxing time. When we arrived Wim took us out on his kabota so we could see the area and pick our site. The sites are placed very far apart so theres all kinds of privacy. We relaxed all night with a few drinks and watched all the night life. Fireflies and bats and some sort of creatures living in the creek we were near. And just as we were leaving the next morning the cows came around for their morning graze. Would highly recommend if your just looking for some privacy and a place to relax.

Had an amazing stay! Wim is such a a great guy and so welcoming. We were able to pick our own spot to camp after being given a tour of the property. The kids were able to collect the eggs from the chickens so we had farm fresh eggs in the am! The entire stay I don’t have a single complaint! Great spot!

What an experience! Our group of 7 arrived well after dark and we were greeted by the cutest rescue dog named Hammer! Wim was an amazing and very accommodating host and took us on a ride to tour his property to find the perfect spot even in the dark! We got settled in for the first night. We sat by the fire while the starry sky drifted by. The next morning Wim stopped by briefly to check in on us and allowed us to gather some fresh eggs from his chickens and helped us get an ample supply of firewood. As for his flock of cattle, they are by far the most unique and gentle creatures we've ever had the pleasure of sharing space with. They make their rounds around the property everyday while grazing. They are quite curious and will come up to your campsite to sniff around. Its wise to keep a healthy distance between them and just observe these beautiful creatures unless Wim invites you to engage with them.
All in all we had an unforgettable time and this location is highly recommended to all and please be respectful to the location, host and his animals as we would like to return in the future!

This was the most beautiful camp site! The cows would just come over and graze by us while we drank our morning coffee. Wim told us we could collect chicken eggs from his coop which was so fun and we invited him over for a drink and some campfire food. We had such great conversations with him, he's such a nice guy. Also his dog is just the most adorable thing, we played fetch and he'd just chill with us after our host went home. There is a conservation area 7 mins away with a boat launch where we took our paddle boat. We are already planning on booking again but bringing our cousin's kids with us. This was peaceful and beautiful and I got to brush a Bull's hair!!

First of all it was amazing. Greeted by a beautiful rescue puppy named hammer. He will pee on all your tires to make sure you know he runs the place. Please bring treats. He loves hard to chew stuff and will shake both paws. The path of highland cattle and their babies is consistently in motion. They graze, swim, moooo, give birth, nurse, stare you down, graze some more, let you brush them ( with Wim next to you )
Now Wim! He’s an incredible host. He kept the fire burning for us ( he provides the wood !) he gives you a pre-site tour on his ATV where you can choose your perfect stay ( I’m not telling you where TO CHOOSE because every location is excellent )
Wim takes you to see the cattle and also his chickens and baby chicks. You can pick your own fresh eggs for breakfast! Yummy.
Make sure if Wim stops by to check on you you provide him with a good beer or drink. His blue eyes are mesmerizing. There’s a kindness about him and some mystery. I love eccentric people and he’s top 10.
Most of all he makes you feel at home and welcome. Follow the rules and be respectful towards all animals and nature. I don’t want him to stop hosting so behave so I can come back next year!!
The best part of my trip was my two very best girlfriends and it was a surprise for one. Her dream was to see highland cattle up close and personal ! To make one dream come true among many feels good. I love you Lisa ! Can’t wait for more adventures with you and Donna.

A different way to camp. In a great way!
The host(Wim) was very informative and helpful about his operation of his camp.
With a choice of several sites, I chose a scenic view over looking the creek. Only to find cattle soaking and cooling off thru the morning to the evening. Then having the interaction with the cattle and little ones throughout the day keeping my Rottweilers amused all day watching there activities. A great time

Camping on Wim’s farm was exceptional. We enjoyed the tranquility and spending time with his cattle. We stayed close to the pasture where the cattle would graze and go past our camper a couple of times.
I would highly recommend checking out this wonderful spot. Camping at its finest.

Wim, was an unbelievable host. His property is magical. Our night there was one to remember. We rode in pretty late as a group of 10 on motorcycles and Wim was ready to show us around his land to find the best spot for us to camp. He helped us get the fire going, introduced us to his heard of highland cattle, and made sure we were comfortable. We’ll be back. A lot.

We absolutely loved our stay at Wims farm. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Wim + taken for a four wheeler ride through his property + shown several spots that we were able to set up camp. I have a great love for cows so I opted to set up in the pasture with the Highland cattle. The experience was unreal, they are such lovely + calm animals. We took our dog Kevin with us as well, and the cows were very tolerant of him being around. Several times during the day the herd travelled past our camp to feed + graze, and each time they were just as curious of us as we were of them. In the morning we work up to a group of them less than 6 feet away from our camper lazily grazing. Wim was a great host, he left us to enjoy the pasture with a few quick check ins that all was well. We enjoyed farm fresh eggs in the morning handpicked right from his chicken coop, which was a wonderful addition to our stay. We invited Wim for a drink with us, we chatted about life + business etc, and he shared with us the stories of farm life. We will definitely return again before the end of summer for a stay among the highlands. Thank you Wim,
