Dragonfly ridge rescue farm is the perfect getaway from the city and in nature! There is an animal committee to welcome you and Sharron makes sure you feel at ease. It was a wonderful stay to end my Canada trip.

We had again an amazing experience at Sharrons. This was our second time staying here and i believe now this is going be every year. My 5 yr old loved every single moment here especially the beautiful animals. She fed them, played with them and even held a bunny. It was a dream come true for her. She just didnot want to leave and even us !. Thank you Sharron for having us and letting us enjoy and be a part of your farm stay.

I had such a lovely time staying at this cozy farm! The space was peaceful, well cared for, and full of charm — you can really feel the love and purpose behind everything here. The best part was spending time with the rescued animals; each one has its own personality, and it was so special getting to know them. A huge thank you to Sharron for her warmth, generosity, and the wonderful tour she gave — it was inspiring to hear the animals’ stories and see how much care goes into their wellbeing. This stay was equal parts relaxing and heartwarming. I left feeling refreshed (and with a few new furry friends!). Highly recommend for anyone who loves animals and nature.

Camping with farm animals

We made a spontaneous plan for glamping at the Roost with hardly any preparation and were lucky to find a site. It was a really great experience. Our stay at the cabin was comfortable, though we didn’t have sleeping bags, our blankets were enough to keep us cozy. Sharon was very kind and gave us a wholesome tour of her farm. My kids loved feeding the animals, and bottle-feeding the baby goat was one of the highlights of the farm experience. My daughter especially enjoyed holding the goats and bunnies. Sharon also helped us light the campfire in the evening. Overall, we loved how time seemed to slow down, giving us the chance to truly savor the rustic beauty of nature.

I loved staying in the barn at Molly and Sharrons farm. It was really special to meet all the animals and talk to Sharon. She works so hard and cares so much. Highly recommend this stay for animal lovers and children.

Staying at Dragonfly Ridge was such an adventure! We loved our little log cabin and getting to spend time in nature. But most of all we appreciated getting to meet Sharron and all of her animals. Thank you for having us Sharron! We hope to be back soon.

Definitely a unique experience! We stayed in the Treeview loft for one night as an escape from the city. Sharron was absolutely amazing with the kids. She let them feed the animals, ride on the tractor and explore the grounds. The kids felt like they were part of the farm staff by the end and didn’t want to leave! The loft is beautiful and there is plenty of space. Unfortunately we booked on a 30 degree day and it was very hot since there is no hydro. Mosquitoes at night were also annoying. Definitely bring bug spray! Overall a great experience. Would love to return but would probably book the cabin with electricity next time :)

This cabin is absolutely adorable! (Heads up, if you're traveling with kids, there's 1 bed) Sharon was amazing! She clearly loves sharing her land and animals with the people who come to visit. We enjoyed our time, and cannot wait to go back and visit!

What a great stay at Sharrons property! The perfect escape from the city - Sharron really makes you feel welcomed and the getting to see and meet all the animals is a such a plus. The cabin is perfect for some time to be “disconnected” while still slightly connected. Was very clean, well stocked with all necessities, and tons to enjoy on the property. Can’t wait to come back again!

We had such a wonderful experience at Dragonfly Village and Rescue Farm! Molly was incredibly flexible and really helped us out with our plans. Sharon gave us a lovely tour of the farm, and Glenda(the volunteer), was so kind and helpful. They took the time to tell us about the animals, which made the visit even more special. We also had a bonfire at night, absolutely amazing! The sky was clear, and we could see the stars, it was magical. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful, meaningful getaway

This experience was exactly what my city girls needed. They got to bottle feed a lamb, collect eggs from the chickens and cook them over a camp stove. Shannon is lovely and generous. Thank you!

The place was good and workers there were friendly. However the host is completely unresponsive. We reached there with a child and called the host several times , no response at all. Luckily we saw one of workers there who helped us to locate the tree house.

Unique and Heartwarming Getaway

Our stay with at Dragon Fly Farm was truly wonderful. Sharon is a warm and knowledgeable host who clearly cares deeply for her animals. My husband and I stayed for one night with our 21-month-old twins, and it was such a memorable experience for all of us. The kids had an amazing time feeding the lambs, sheep, alpacas, and goats. Sharon struck the perfect balance—giving us space to enjoy the day on our own while also being available to show us around and help us engage with the animals. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique and heartwarming getaway.

This place is so much more than camping! I held new lambs, had horses at my door and felt the love and passion that goes into a farm. I slept more than I have in ages. I was invited to join in daily activities but also left to lounge and your on my own. You are surrounded by animals so bring boots as there is poop! The outhouse is well stocked. I will be back! Very soon!

Beautiful property

I loved the log cabin that we stayed at! Surprisingly warm at night when it was -20 outside. With our snowshoes, we walked around the property, fed the goats, ducks, pigs, saw countless rabbits around, met her racing sheep and hung out with Billy, the pony who liked to take shelter by the cabin. Will definitely come back to do some W.O.O.F.ing! All of the animals were very friendly and so was Sharron, helping us out to the cabin in snow up to our thighs! Also the stars at night were gorgeous and there were more than I've ever seen

Incredible place and host

My girlfriend and I had an exceptional stay here at the log cabin. It’s a beautiful place, and truly unique. Lots of friendly animals to pet and feed. Our favourite had to be the dog, Chloe, who was one of the friendliest dogs I’ve met, right off the bat when you drive up. Sharron was an excellent host as well, very friendly and showed us around. Would love to come back

Memorable and Unforgettable ❤️

Well well well, where do I start?? I am still struck with awe for this place. It has been one of the best and the most unforgettable experience for us. The place, the animals, the beauty of nature and the wonderful and most amazing host - Sharon made our stay just too good to be true. My 4yr old enjoyed every second of the stay! The animals are so friendly and just so cute !! My daughter loved feeding and petting them. The cabin is so cozy and in nature. At night we had such Ana among time by the fire pit and gazing at the stars with such clear sky. Sharon was so kind and sweet! She guided us to all the animals and made sure my little one fed them and had a good time. Chloe (pet dog) is so sweet and loving. We loved cuddling her and loving her. We will surely come back again and again and again! My daughter never wanted to leave the place !!! And to be honest so did we! Thank you Sharon for having us and giving us the most amazing and memorable experience!

Very welcoming host gave me a tour after hours. The cabin is inside an animal enclosure so you could smell and hear them. The animals were the reason for the stay. Closest town for a supermarket, laundry and car wash is Bobcaygeon.

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming, rustic getaway! The night of stargazing was truly breathtaking and one of the highlights of our trip. Sharron is an exceptional host - warm, welcoming, and passionate about her farm. She gave us a delightful tour, introducing us to the sweetest animals, and we even had the chance to feed and pet them, which made the experience even more special. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sharron’s farm! Sharron was incredibly sweet and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The tour of the farm animals was both fun and educational – it was great to see such a variety of animals up close. The highlight of the stay was spending the night in the cozy barn loft. It was an interesting and unique experience, but still felt incredibly comfortable. The peaceful and quiet surroundings made for a truly relaxing retreat. Scenic hiking and canoeing spots are just a few minutes away from here. I can’t recommend this experience enough for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy some time in nature!

Magical Night In the Treeview Loft

We absolutely adored staying at the treeview loft! It was a magical experience sleeping in the barn above all the ponies, donkeys and Rosie the horse. Sharron was a wonderful host and showed us around each of the animal enclosures. We got to feed the animals their favourite treats which was so special. Highly recommend, and cant wait to come back!

We loved staying at Sharron’s farm! What a neat experience sleeping in the rustic barn loft and waking up amongst the animals. The kids loved interacting, feeding, combing, walking and snuggling all the different animals. Sharron is very kind, knowledgeable and welcoming! I hope we can visit again.
