Or, just quietly "Zen out" amongst nature not found anywhere else in the world on this ecologically unique, most southern inhabited island in Ontario, Canada. Steps to the most beautiful, clean, shallow, sandy beach. You can rent golf carts, bicycles, e-bikes, take a winery tour and ruins, boat tour, visit the Butterfly Sanctuary, museum, mini-put and more! Included in your stay are amenities to enhance your experience: a picnic table, fire pit, supply of potable water, and a new private outdoor bathroom for convenience. Good quiet place. My husband and son stayed for the fall pheasant hunt. Nela was very proactive and helpful in communicating.

Couples Island Campsite - 'Volnost'

We had the most wonderful time at this campsite on Pelee Island! I went with my mom, nephew, and our two dogs, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The site itself was private, cozy, and just the right size to set up our two tents comfortably. Everything was spotless and well cared for, and they went above and beyond by providing thoughtful extras like chairs, two screened-in rooms (a lifesaver for escaping the mosquitoes), and even some firewood to get us started. From the very first day, Nela was absolutely amazing. She sent me clear and easy-to-follow directions, all the details we needed to settle in, and even shared some great suggestions that made our trip extra special. It’s clear how much care she puts into making sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. The location was fantastic—just a short walk to the beach, which both we and the dogs loved. Between the peaceful site, the helpful touches, and the natural beauty all around, we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. We loved every second of our stay and will definitely be coming back!

We loved this enclosed , private site. So close to the beach! We wish it was drier while we were there so we could of enjoyed the campfire but the site owner was very sweet and accommodating. It was very quiet at night with the island sounds and the water making it the perfect white noise machine. Thank you so much for having us!

We thoroughly enjoyed camping at this spot! The host was extremely thorough in giving directions and guidance on local attractions and events. They made sure to warn us to expect a lot of bugs this time of year and did everything to ensure we'd be as comfortable as possible regardless. It was a very quaint and private spot in the woods, and close enough to the east shore that we could hear the waves in the distance at night. The campground up the road was the perfect spot to restock on ice, firewood, and other necessities, and showers were available as well for a tiny fee.

Couples Island Campsite - 'Volnost'

My partner and I love camping and found ourselves at home on Nela’s beautiful forested and private campsite. She gave us great directions and suggestions of places to visit on the island. She went the extra mile to make sure we were welcomed including birthday decoration, a screened in kitchen area (more bugs than usual) and a screened in hammock area for when we needed a rest. The washroom was indeed a comfort station that was stocked with extra supplies. So nice to be able to wash hands camping! We swam in the beach down the road every day and had a fire at night under the stars. We would happily come back to visit and spend more time relaxing among the island’s beauty.

Couples Island Campsite - 'Volnost'

Nela’s space was a perfect couples getaway for the weekend! The space is private and quiet. The bathroom was clean, and the fire pit and picnic table were everything we needed for a weekend in Pelee. The campsite is also close to the beach and a quick drive to the winery. Pelee itself was amazingly relaxing and welcoming!
