Site #2 is in a nice secluded spot on the property, despite being close to parking. Only thing to note is some noise heard from the event venue not too far away. Makes the evenings somewhat less quiet. Still, we had a great stay.

Easy and simple

It was easy and simple! A place to put our tent for the night. The grass was freashly mowed and there weren't many bugs at all. The host responded quickly to our messages. It was fairly private, as well!

Fantastic Campsite

We loved this camp site! 4 spots available and we had the whole place to ourselves. Plenty of space between sites and everything self serve including the fire wood and check in. Our site was number 3 which was in the woods, bugs were minimal in late August and weather was great! Space to set up 3 hammocks and an 8 person tent. Close by the town of Port Dover, plenty of restaurants and nature areas, and the beach! Great stay, highly recommended.

Camping with Kids

This was our first HipCamp experience and we loved it! Sydney was so helpful and welcoming in her messages, and the directions were clear. It was a short walk from the parking lot to our site. We didn’t see the sign for site 3 so we set up on an other one, double checked with Sydney to make sure that it was okay to stay there, and luckily it was available so we didn’t have to move. There was only one other camp site and we hardly knew that they were there. What a peaceful spot! The kids were able to make good use of the partially-treed open green space for games of touch football and for relaxing in the shade. The wood available was very dry - super convenient to have that on-site! 10/10 would highly recommend.

Easy to find with the directions provided. Fairly large site for a tent and lots of space to play cornhole or other games. Only complaint is that you cant drive to or park on your campsite. Would stay again if in the area.

The campsite bordered a road which had consistent traffic. There was no worthwhile water features or areas to fish. To reach the beach you have to drive. The trails were covered in spider webs. The neighbouring property's dog will come to your campsite if you have any food remanence, although it was friendly and let me give some pets. This place is good for camping but not much else.

I had an overall bad experience. The campsite was hard to find, instructions were not clear and no physical sign on the road while driving. It took us 20 mins to find the place. Once we found it, we learned that we could NOT go to the site with our vehicle. The advertising post was not clear about this.

Nice place to stay!

Really enjoyed my stay, it was a nice quiet and private place. Tons of birds & I’ve never seen that many fireflies at night! Close to Dover if you want to drive into town. My sight got a lot of water with the swale through the middle of it, so just be mindful of your set up if there is going to be a lot of rain, but wasn’t muddy. There’s a wagon for you to bring all your stuff down, which is helpful because no cars on sites. The hosts were super nice though and really helpful! Would stay here again if I’m looking for something close by!

Absolutely wonderful Sydney and her partner Jessie were lovely! And so helpful. Site was very clean and was very peaceful to stay at! I would definitely go again to just get away from the hussle and bussle of the city!

We really loved the camping site of sydney. Each site has its privacy and calmness. Also sydney and family was very helpful and friendly. They even helped us to fix a small issue of our car’s trunk. Was fully enjoyed and would recommend 100 percent.

We loved this spot! So easy and had a nice clean porta potty when you drive in. We took a 2 year old and it was exactly what we wanted, private yet close to parking and was a nice large site in the forest! Thank you!

Sydney notified me that my site was quite damp after some rain leading up to my visit, and offered me to stay at site 2 instead which was dry. The location was easy to find with the sign by the road, and the site was nice to setup at.

Well kept and pretty site. The camp spots don’t feel too close together, giving each one a feeling of seclusion (although we were the only ones staying there). The Port-a-potty wasn’t too far away and was clean. We met the owner of land Cheryl who was lovely and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice clearing in the trees for 4 or 5 different sites, each with their own privacy. Parking is just off the road adjacent to the campsites. Good pile of firewood left for us. Toilet facilities are a ‘Johnny on the spot’ style which was adequate and in a good state of cleanliness and maintenance. We didn’t have a cellphone signal in that area in our Telus phones.

Beautiful property - stayed on site 2, which was the most private in the forest. Had everything we needed, and Sydney offered any support if we required. Would highly recommend for a more isolated experience than most campsites, if you stay at site 2

Great place to camp. Not too far from the road. Seating provided was comfy and a nice fire pit surrounded by trees. Lots of kindling to be found and quite private. Close enough to the road to hear cars but not see them.

Peaceful and relaxing stay!

We recently camped here over the labour day long weekend. Our host Sydney kept in touch with us with accurate information and methods of contact should we have needed them. The site was tranquil and secluded. Remember to bring coverings for your belongings as this time of year the sap does tend to drop and spray from the trees. We look forward to our next stay!
