A repurposed amusement park between two highways. It was okay for one night. No shower.

Tent camping was nice and clean, the airbed, pillows and sheets were comfortable. The place needs a little workaround. Chris was very helpful with our needs.

Sadly we felt our experience was subpar. The pictures were not as shown and the place felt a bit abandoned. The outhouse had not been emptied in a long time (maggots in the out house, mould on the seat and flowers, obvious stains), the water tank we had in the dome spouted out earwigs when we used it, and the ‘rec room’ was caved in with water damage not dealt with and covered in spider webs. I’d like to ask for a refund, but the cancellation policy won’t allow me. I can see it used to be a nice place, but we felt too uncomfortable to go to the washroom! The fire pit is a nice touch but the it was a mess by the fire pit. We cleaned up. They were friendly over text and good at communication but the state of the amenities was very poor for the money you pay to stay there.

Booked a stay to break up the long drive to Cape Breton. The tent with airbed & bedding was very convenient and reasonably priced. We didn’t stay long but enjoyed a little walk around the campground. Friendly staff. It is close to road & highway but the traffic sounds from the highway was just white noise during the night & not bothersome.

The Twisted Tent is a fantastic place to camp. The community fire pit is a fantastic way to meet lovely new people. This is my second time there and can promise there will be more in the future. Chris always goes above and beyond to help all the campers. It's a very clean and well kept little spot. Amazing

Site 1 - Twisted Tent Camping Adventure
As always had a great time got to go on the go carts this time which was great. Chris as always was helpful and friendly and I can't say enough good things about this place and the people there. I will be returning as often as possible.

My experiences with this camp site have been amazing the people who run and own it are soo helpful I can't even begin to explain. I will be coming back time and time again and I highly recommend you check it out for yourself. They are growing and developing more and more and sure to be even better as they go.

I came to twisted tents for Jubilee weekend and left with great memories. This campsite is small and quaint but has lots of history. This will be a campsite we return to in the future

Parked my boler trailer on the land for the music festival. Chris was great and gave me a concrete pad to support my hitch. Hosts were on site to support the needs of the campers and the facilities were clean.

Great spot to pitch your tent! I was met by a host in a golf cart to take me to my site. We toured the grounds and got a great history of the campground. The site itself was private and the tent pad added extra comfort.
There campground itself was easy to find and very close to amenities. It’s about 9 minutes from New Glasgow.

Econo Bell Tent 4
The tent was fine but way too close to a very busy road. We didn't sleep much due to heavy trucks and some kind of motor bikes racing outside. We packed up in the morning and didn't stay the second night we had paid for. Very disappointing trip with my two grandchildren. The broken down carnival rides and empty buildings also made the place feel abandoned.

We loved staying here it was a cool experience was fun rowing the boat to the tent, and a peaceful sleep, even in the rain we stayed dry. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

What a creative idea to turn a beloved family entertainment park into a whimsical camp ground!! Mayor Bear (camp host) was so generous! The campsites are the most unique I’ve ever seen. So clever.!!

My last stay at the dome was excellent. My sisters and I had a “sister night” We have stayed there in the past and will definitely be back! Always a nice little getaway. Chris is always so kind and helpful.

Beautiful campsite, lots of fun things to do unfortunately me and my boyfriend ended up going when the weather wasn’t to great and couldn’t enjoy everything they had to offer, we booked 2 days but only stayed one because of the rain and the host was super understanding and ended up giving us a free night due to the fact we left a day early, I will definitely be going back multiple times this summer

The check in was super complete, we felt welcomed there! The site was well kept and we had everything we needed. However, it was a bit noisy. Even though we were told at arrival, there was a tractor running till around 10pm. Also, there was another person living near our site that we hadn’t been told about, who made sounds and made us feel a bit unsafe. When we asked, Chris explained us and checked in with the guy, after what everything was well.

Spent my week at twisted tents with family and friends .great staff very friendly. Beautiful ponds, had great time using kayaks and the communal fire pit area was very welcoming. Can’t wait to get back this summer when floating tents are available. And had it not been raining I’d love to try out those hammock tents aswell . Tell the weathers warmer guys thanks for having us and hope to be back again real soon

Lots to say about this trip, it was quite the adventure from normal life. Lots to do and really fun will definitely do it again in the future, we loved the dome experience and the living conditions set there. Glad to see what’s being built and improved next year!!.
Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice and what feels like far away get away vacation, very very nice and giving down to earth hosts keepers and other campers! 10/10 weekend😊.

Patricia a été bien charmante, j’avais réservé une tente dans l’arbre mais comme l’ouragan Lee menaçait la région , ils ont descendus les tentes des arbres à des fins de sécurité et ils nous ont upgradé à une tente Bell . C’était très propre et confortable . L’endroit est bien , avec plusieurs petits lacs . Le seul inconvénient, le bruit des voitures sur la route.

The Dome was nicely constructed and decorated. It was unfortunate we were left a note to not use the wood stove as it would have helped keep us warm on the cold September nights. A closer portapotty would also have been helpful.
