Perched on 200ft cliff of coastline the MareGold Centre is a place to enjoy nature, education, wellness and the arts. Our cabins offer different levels of getaways from off-grid simple tiny cabins to larger cabins with kitchen and full bathrooms. Most importantly, guests come for a quiet, peaceful and restful stay. Within the 30 acres there are herbal gardens, maple forest, a pond, fields, trails and the best sunset in Nova Scotia. The entire property is non-smoking.

Spruce Cabin @ MareGold

A 15-minute walk from the road through a field and new spruce forest you will arrive at the Spruce Cabin. This small cabin is cozy and full of light. Built from reclaimed and locally milled timber, this off-grid structure has one room with a small loft with a hammock seat that is full of sunlight and a clear roof to the sky. The ladder might not be for everyone. With a view of two types of forest - old Spruce trees are ending their time and a new forest of spruce trees is coming alive it is a very private cabin. There is a private shower and toilet 200 ft from the cabin as is the outside kitchen and BBQ area. Your parking for this cabin will be on the road which is under 200 meters (700ft). The Spruce Cabin has everything you need for your stay: towels, dishes, cutlery, and fresh bedding on a double bed. The MareGold Centre property is completely non-smoking - all cabins, grounds, trails, gardens, and all outside and interior locations. *Please note the outside kitchen and bbq are not available at the present time.

Stage Cabin

After a 15 min walk through a beautiful forest road, you find the Stage cabin. From the double bed, it feels like being on a boat as you are right on the cliff. This off-grid cabin for one is located at the stage and event area of MareGold Centre. The cabin is made from locally cut lumber and reclaimed beams. Small but bright this 12x14 ft cabin has a double bed and a table. Good for one person on a retreat. Listen to the seabirds as you marvel at the best sunsets in Nova Scotia.

Clock Cabin

The Clock Cabin is a small cabin full of light and style. Built from reclaimed and locally milled timber, this off-grid structure has one room with an open ceiling full of sunlight and a clear roof to the sky. With a private forest view sitting on the edge of the field it is a close walk (200 ft) to the toilet and shower. Your parking for this cabin will be on the road which is 200 meters (700ft). The Clock Cabin has everything you need for your stay: towels, dishes, cutlery, and fresh bedding on a double bed. Please note there is no kitchen for this cabin at the present time. The MareGold Centre property is completely non-smoking. All Cabins, grounds, trails, gardens, and all outside and interior locations.

Spruce Cabin @ MareGold
Oh, MareGold, what a pleasure. The land, the space, the view, the sounds, the utilities - the entire experience is unforgettable. Russell, what a gem. He is so very kind, joyful, helpful, and accommodating, making our stay even more memorable. The Spruce Cabin is a cosy retreat to rest, rejuvenate and be one with nature. Thank you Russell.

Such an amazing piece of land, you can really tell a lot of love was put into it. There was a ton to do and explore - definitely check out the cove, it was amazing to witness in person.
