But if you want a back-to-basics stay that helps you reconnect with nature (without sleeping on the ground), The Spruce is for you. This is close-to-off-grid camping with a twist of comfort: furnished pine cabins tucked into the forest. Margaree Cozy Loft Cabin

The location was great and the bunkie/cabin was a relaxing place to land after exploring Cape Breton during the day. Sam and Nic were always available to answer any questions we had and are incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts. I'm new to off-grid vacationing and I loved it, largely in part due to how nice Sam and Nic's place is. It's comfortable, bright and set up well. Highly recommend!

Loft cabin with local charm

Margaree Cozy Loft Cabin

Spent the weekend in Highlands National Park hiking. The Loft Cabin was perfect for spot for a base camp. Extremely comfortable and peaceful. Had everything I needed including direct parking and heat (night outside temps were still cold). You couldn't ask for a better experience within a local community. The bed was absolutely wonderful and had great nights rest after long day hikes. Cabin is heated and furnished very well. They have everything you need to be off grid for several days. If needed all cooking equipment and utensils were provided. I sat outside under the gazebo and watched the rural community at work. When you live in a suburban neighborhood you know it's all around but never seen. I was able to take it all in and just enjoy life. I would recommend this location. Easy access, great accommodations, good location for park access, and wonderful locals.
